Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan siswa dalam kemampuan membaca kritis teks berita. Sebagian siswa masih mendapati kesulitan untuk memahami, mengevaluasi, dan menyikapi setiap informasi dalam teks bacaan tersebut. Selain itu, faktor dari model yang digunakan kebanyakan masih konvensional menyebabkan siswa merasa bosan dan tidak tertarik dalam mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan-permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji coba model pembelajaran problem based learning berbantuan media infografik dalam pembelajaran membaca kritis teks berita. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Bandung. Sampel yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini, yaitu siswa kelas VII E sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas VII G sebagai kelompok kontrol. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel ini menggunakan teknik random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan tes kemampuan siswa (tes awal dan tes akhir) dan angket. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji statistik dengan bantuan SPSS versi 27. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.000 < 0,05, yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara kemampuan membaca kritis teks berita yang menerapkan model problem based learning berbantuan media infografik di kelas eksperimen dengan pembelajaran membaca kritis teks berita yang tidak menerapkan model problem based learning berbantuan media infografik di kelas kontrol. ; This research was motivated by students' problems in the ability to critically read news texts. Some students still find it difficult to understand, evaluate and respond to any information in the reading text. Apart from that, the factors in the models used are mostly still conventional, causing students to feel bored and not interested in participating in learning activities. To overcome these problems, this research aims to test the model assisted by infographic media in learning to critically read news texts. The method in this research uses a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were class VII students at SMP Negeri 10 Bandung. The samples chosen in this research were class VII E students as the experimental group and class VII G students as the control group. The technique used in this sampling was random sampling technique. The data collection technique used in this research was student ability tests (pre-test and post-test) and questionnaires. The data analysis technique in this research uses statistical tests with the help of SPSS version 27. The results of data analysis show that the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a difference between the ability to critically read news texts that apply the problem based learning model assisted by infographic media in the experimental class and learning to critically read news texts that do not apply the problem based learning model assisted by infographic media in the control class.
