Abstract
Tingginya tingkat pengangguran yang ada serta meningkatnya permintaan produk hidroponik yang diiringi dengan permintaan industri akan SDM yang kompeten menjadi alasan dihadirikannya pelatihan hidroponik di BPVP Bandung Barat. Salah satu tujuan diadakannya pelatihan hidroponik ialah meningkatkan SDM yang mampu berwirausaha secara mandiri. Dalam proses pembelajaran, pelatihan hidroponik menggunakan metode experiential learning yang mengedepankan pengalaman sebagai sumber belajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tahapan experiential learning, kemandirian berwirausaha peserta pelatihan setelah mengikuti pelatihan, serta faktor penghambat penerapan experiential learning pada pelatihan hidroponik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Partisipan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari penyelenggara, instruktur, serta dua orang alumni peserta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi serta studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) tahapan experiential learning terbagi ke dalam empat tahap yaitu pengalaman konkret dengan melibatkan peserta dalam setiap aktivitas pelatihan seperti membagikan pengalamannya pada bidang hidroponik, pengamatan reflektif, peserta melakukan observasi pada greenhouse kemudian melaporkan hasilnya, konsepsi abstrak, peserta berdiskusi untuk membetuk konsep seperti membuat konsep terkait kebun hidroponik dan dipaparkan melalui presentasi, percobaan aktif, peserta pelatihan mengimplementasikan teori yang telah didapatkan melalui praktik. 2) alumni peserta pelatihan mampu menunjukkan kemandirian berwirausahanya setelah mengikuti pelatihan dan terlibat aktif dalam beberapa komunitas hidroponik, yang dapat digambarkan melalui beberapa aspek seperti bertanggung jawab, mandiri, mampu memenuhi kebutuhan pokok minimal, memiliki etos kerja tinggi, disiplin, serta berani mengambil resiko. 3) faktor penghambat penerapan metode experiential learning berasal dari faktor internal berupa perbedaan latar belakang baik pendidikan ataupun usia peserta pelatihan, sehingga mengakibatkan adanya hambatan dalam pemahaman dan penyampaian teori. The high unemployment rate and increasing demand for hydroponic products accompanied by industry demand for competent human resources are the reasons for attending hydroponic training at BPVP West Bandung. One of the aims of holding hydroponic training is to increase human resources who are capable of independent entrepreneurship. In the learning process, hydroponic training uses the experiential learning method which prioritizes experience as a learning source. This research aims to describe the stages of experiential learning, the entrepreneurial independence of training participants after attending the training, as well as the factors inhibiting the application of experiential learning in hydroponic training. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Participants in this research consisted of organizers, instructors, and two alumni participants. Data collection was carried out using interview techniques, observation and documentation studies. The results of the research show that 1) the experiential learning stage is divided into four stages, namely concrete experience by involving participants in each training activity such as sharing their experiences in the field of hydroponics, reflective observation, participants make observations in the greenhouse then report the results, abstract conception, participants discuss to form concepts such as creating concepts related to hydroponic gardens and explained through presentations, active experiments, training participants implement the theory they have obtained through practice. 2) alumni training participants are able to demonstrate their entrepreneurial independence after attending training and are actively involved in several communities, which can be described through several aspects such as being responsible, independent, able to meet minimum basic needs, having a high work ethic, discipline, and daring to take risks. 3) inhibiting factors in implementing the experiential learning method come from internal factors in the form of differences in educational background or age of the training participants, resulting in obstacles in understanding and conveying theory.
