Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Video SISTAYA terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa sekolah dasar pada materi sistem tata surya. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh video SISTAYA terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi sistem tata surya; untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh penggunaan video SISTAYA dan pembelajaran konvensional terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi sistem tata surya; untuk mengetahui respons siswa terhadap penggunaan media video SISTAYA pada materi sistem tata surya. Pemahaman konsep pada siswa sekolah dasar masih rendah terutama pada materi sistem tata surya , dan pemahaman konsep merupakan kompetensi pembelajaran yang perlu dimiliki oleh siswa sekolah dasar. Hal tersebut menjadi alasan penelitian ini dilakukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Nonequivalent Control Group, yang melibatkan pengujian Pretest sebelum perlakuan dan pengujian Posttest setelah perlakuan di setiap kelompok. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VI SD yang terakreditasi A Se-Kecamatan Sumedang Selatan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan sampel 30 siswa kelas VI A SD Negeri Sukaraja I dan 32 siswa kelas VI B SD Negeri Sukaraja I. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media video SISTAYA memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa sekolah dasar. Terbukti dengan hasil uji beda rerata yang didapatkan melalui hasil posttest kelas eksperimen lebih besar daripada hasil pretest. Terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara penggunaan video SISTAYA dan pembelajaran konvensional, terbukti melalui hasil uji beda rerata kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan video SISTAYA mengalami peningkatan yang lebih besar daripada yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Respons positif juga diberikan oleh siswa terhadap penggunaan video SISTAYA. Terbukti melalui hasil angket, siswa merasa senang dan mudah memahami materi sistem tata surya menggunakan video SISTAYA. This research was conducted to determine the effect of SISTAYA Video on the concept understanding ability of elementary school students on solar system material. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of SISTAYA video on students‘concept understanding on solar system material; to determine the difference in the effect of using SISTAYA video and conventional learning on students’ concept understanding on solar system material; to determine student responses to the use of SISTAYA video media on solar system material. Concept understanding in elementary school students is still low, especially on solar system material, and concept understanding is a learning competency that elementary school students need to have. This is the reason this research was conducted. This study used a Non equivalent Control Group design, which involved Pretest testing before treatment and Posttest testing after treatment in each group. The population in this study were all grade VI elementary school students who were accredited A in South Sumedang District. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample of 30 students of class VI A SD Negeri Sukaraja I and 32 students of class VI B SD Negeri Sukaraja I. The results showed that SISTAYA video media had a positive effect on elementary school students' concept understanding. Evidenced by the results of the mean difference test obtained through the experimental class posttest results are greater than the pretest results. There is a difference in influence between the use of SISTAYA videos and conventional learning, as evidenced by the results of the t-test of the mean of the experimental class using SISTAYA videos experiencing a greater increase than those using conventional learning. Positive responses were also given by students to the use of SISTAYA videos. Evidenced through the results of the questionnaire, students feel happy and easy to understand the solar system material using the SISTAYA video.
