Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh belum maksimalnya praktik kepemimpinan pembelajaran oleh kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali pengalaman kepala sekolah, guru, dan peserta didik terkait praktik kepemimpinan pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru dan kualitas pembelajaran. Fokus penelitian ini diuraikan dalam beberapa pertanyaan, yaitu: 1) Bagaimana praktik kepemimpinan pembelajaran kepala sekolah di SMA Yayasan Mardi Yuana? 2) Bagaimana implementasi kepemimpinan pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru? 3) Bagaimana implementasi kepemimpinan pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran? 4) Apa faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam praktik kepemimpinan pembelajaran? Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Lokasi penelitian meliputi SMA Mardi Yuana di Cianjur dan Sukabumi. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari dua kepala sekolah, sepuluh guru, dan empat siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Data dianalisis menggunakan Nvivo 12 Plus. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah telah menetapkan tujuan sekolah, menata pembelajaran, dan menciptakan iklim sekolah yang kondusif dengan prinsip kolaboratif dan partisipatif. Untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru, kepala sekolah mendorong pelatihan dan supervisi kelas. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, kepala sekolah mengevaluasi pembelajaran, menyediakan sarana dan prasarana pembelajaran, melibatkan guru dalam kegiatan MGMP. Faktor pendukung meliputi iklim kondusif, supervisi, pelatihan, serta dukungan pemerintah dan yayasan. Sementara itu, faktor penghambat mencakup keterbatasan sumber daya guru, sarana dan prasarana, serta pandangan buruk masyarakat sekitar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan pembelajaran meningkatkan profesionalisme guru dan kualitas pembelajaran melalui pelatihan-pelatihan dan supervisi kelas untuk mendorong guru kreatif dan inovatif dalam proses pembelajaran serta membangun iklim sekolah yang kondusif. Penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan penelitian longitudinal untuk mengevaluasi praktik kepemimpinan pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru dan kualitas pembelajaran. ABSTRACT The research is motivated by the suboptimal implementation of instructional leadership practices by school principals. This study aims to explore the experiences of school principals, teachers, and students related to instructional leadership practices in enhancing teacher professionalism and the quality of learning. The focus of this research is outlined in several questions, namely: 1) How are the instructional leadership practices of the school principals at Mardi Yuana Foundation High School? 2) How is instructional leadership implemented to improve teacher professionalism? 3) How is instructional leadership implemented to improve the quality of learning? 4) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors in instructional leadership practices? This research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research locations include Mardi Yuana High School in Cianjur and Sukabumi. The participants of the research consist of two school principals, ten teachers, and four students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. The data were analyzed using Nvivo 12 Plus. The findings of the research indicate that the school principals have set school goals, organized learning activities, and created a conducive school climate with collaborative and participative principles. To enhance teacher professionalism, the school principals encourage training and classroom supervision. To improve the quality of learning, the principals evaluate learning processes, provide learning facilities and infrastructure, and involve teachers in MGMP activities. Supporting factors include a conducive climate, supervision, training, and support from the government and the foundation. On the other hand, inhibiting factors include limited teacher resources, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and negative perceptions from the surrounding community.This study concludes that instructional leadership enhances teacher professionalism and the quality of learning through training and classroom supervision, encouraging teachers to be creative and innovative in the learning process, and fostering a conducive school climate. The research also recommends longitudinal studies to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional leadership practices in improving teacher professionalism and the quality of learning.
