Abstract

Salah satu dampak negatif dari pandemi Covid-19 adalah learning loss, yaitu penurunan kualitas hasil belajar yang dialami oleh peserta didik akibat perubahan proses pembelajaran. Kemendikbud mengatakan solusi untuk mengatasi learning loss adalah dengan kurikulum merdeka. Masih terdapat sekolah dengan pembelajaran yang berfokus pada calistung, serta berfokus bagaimana cara peserta didik dapat melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang sekolah dasar, namun tidak memperhatikan capaian perkembangan anak, kemampuan serta kesiapan anak terlebih dahulu. Dampak ini muncul akibat syarat sekolah dasar yang mewajibkan anak harus memiliki kemampuan calistung saat melakukan pendaftaran ke sekolah dasar. Oleh karena itu kurikulum merdeka perlu disosialisasikan lebih mendalam kepada sekolah-sekolah di tiap daerah serta kepada para orang tua peserta didik untuk memberikan kemerdekaan bagi para peserta didik. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah mengetahui implementasi kurikulum merdeka di TK Firdaus. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dengan di implementasikannya kurikulum merdeka, para peserta didik dapat melakukan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi atau pembelajaran yang di sesuaikan minat belajar peserta didik serta kemampuan belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini masih memiliki keterbatasan, diharapkan peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengembangkan penelitian dengan kerangka teori yang lebih luas dan melibatkan partisipan penelitian yang lebih banyak untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih luas tentang implementasi kurikulum merdeka. One of the negative impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic is learning loss, which refers to the decline in the quality of learning outcomes experienced by students due to changes in the learning process. The Ministry of Education and Culture stated that the solution to address learning loss is through the independent curriculum. There are still schools that focus on teaching reading, writing, and arithmetic, as well as on how students can continue their education to elementary school, but do not pay attention to the developmental achievements, abilities, and readiness of the children first. This impact arises from the requirement for elementary school that mandates children must have reading, writing, and arithmetic skills when registering for elementary school. Therefore, the independent curriculum needs to be socialized more deeply to schools in each region as well as to the parents of students to provide freedom for the learners. The purpose of this research is to understand the implementation of the independent curriculum at TK Firdaus Percikan Iman. This research is a qualitative study with a case study design. Data was collected through structured interviews. The research results show that with the implementation of the independent curriculum, students can engage in differentiated learning or learning that is tailored to their interests and learning abilities. This research still has limitations, and it is hoped that future researchers can develop the study with a broader theoretical framework and involve more research participants to provide a wider understanding of the implementation of the independent curriculum.
