Abstract

Computational Thinking saat ini menjadi sebuah kemampuan yang harus dimiliki tidak hanya oleh para ilmuwan komputer, akan tetapi semua orang termasuk siswa pada jenjang SMK. Namun, masih banyak siswa yang kesulitan dalam memahami pemrograman dasar pada Informatika yang membutuhkan kemampuan Computational Thinking dalam memecahkan permasalahan yang ada pada mata pelajaran tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan Logan Avenue Problem Solving – Heuristik dengan bantuan multimedia interaktif dalam pembelajaran Algoritma dan Pemrograman guna meningkatkan Computational Thinking siswa. Metode Penelitian pada penelitian ini yaitu Research and Development dengan model pengembangan multimedia ADDIE dengan desain penelitian One Group Pretest Posttest. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu: 1) Multimedia interaktif yang dikembangkan mendapat validasi sebesar 97.20% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik” oleh para ahli; 2) Implementasi Logan Avenue Problem Solving pada pembelajaran informatika memiliki pengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan computational thinking siswa yang dibuktikan dengan rerata n-gain sebesar 0,613 dengan kategori peningkatan “sedang”; 3)Peningkatan kemampuan Computational Thinking siswa berdasarkan indikatornya yaitu Dekomposisi (0,607), Pengenalan Pola (0,782), Abstraksi (0,577) dan Berpikir Algoritma (0,590). 3) Tanggapan siswa terhadap multimedia memiliki rata-rata nilai sebesar 91,61% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dari penerapan Logan Avenue Problem Solving – Heuristik berbantuan multimedia interaktif terhadap Computational Thinking siswa. Computational Thinking has become an essential skill not only for computer scientists but for everyone, including vocational high school students. However, many students struggle with understanding basic programming in Informatics, which requires Computational Thinking skills to solve problems in the subject. This study aims to apply the Logan Avenue Problem Solving – Heuristic method with the aid of interactive multimedia in teaching Algorithms and Programming to enhance students’ Computational Thinking skills. The research method used in this study is Research and Development with the ADDIE multimedia development model and a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The results of this study are as follows: 1) The interactive multimedia developed received a validation score of 97.20% in the “Excellent” category by experts; 2) The implementation of Logan Avenue Problem Solving in Informatics education positively impacted students’ Computational Thinking skills, evidenced by an average n-gain of 0.613 in the “moderate” improvement category; 3) The improvement in students’ Computational Thinking skills based on indicators was as follows: Decomposition (0.607), Pattern Recognition (0.782), Abstraction (0.577), and Algorithmic Thinking (0.590). Students’ responses to the multimedia had an average score of 91.61% in the “Excellent” category. This study demonstrates a significant improvement in students’ Computational Thinking skills through the application of the Logan Avenue Problem Solving – Heuristic method with the support of interactive multimedia.
