Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas profil umum motivasi belajar siswa beserta program bimbingan akademik yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi belajar siswa khususnya kelas XI SMK Pekerjaan Umum Negeri Bandung dari berbagai jurusan. Rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa dapat menjadi salah satu kendala dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga menghambat tugas-tugas perkembangan yang harus ditunaikan. Perlunya penguatan akan motivasi belajar siswa melalui bimbingan akademik menjadi salah satu dasar adanya penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan cara non-probability sampling dengan total sampel sebanyak 254 siswa. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen yang disusun berdasarkan aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor siswa berbentuk angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum siswa kelas XI SMK Pekerjaan Umum Negeri Bandung berada pada kategori motivasi belajar yang sedang, dimana siswa dinyatakan cukup mampu untuk mengikuti pembelajaran yang baik meskipun belum adanya kebutuhan yang memunculkan sikap kemandirian dalam belajar. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, program bimbingan akademik dirancang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan siswa dalam mempertahankan dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. This study discusses the general profile of student learning motivation along with academic guidance programs that are tailored to the needs of students. This study aims to determine the level of student learning motivation, especially the class XI of Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Pekerjaan Umum Negeri Bandung from various majors. The low motivation of student learning can be one of the obstacles in the learning process so as to hamper development tasks that must be fulfilled. The need to strengthen student learning motivation through academic guidance is one of the basis of this research. This study uses a descriptive study method with a quantitative approach. The research sample is determined by non-probability sampling with a total sample of 254 students. Research data are collected using instruments that are compiled based on cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects in the form of questionnaires. The results showed that in general the class XI students of the SMK PU Negeri Bandung were in the category of moderate learning motivation, where students were declared quite able to follow good learning despite the lack of needs that gave rise to an attitude of independence in learning. Based on this, the academic guidance program is designed to meet the needs of students in maintaining and increasing student motivation.
