Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan studi pendahuluan yang menunjukkan hasil bahwa masih ada beberapa siswa yang belum menunjukkan aspek kemandirian belajar. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui lebih dalam mengenai kemandirian belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPA kelas V di salah satu SD Kecamatan Susukan, Kabupaten Cirebon tahun ajaran 2023/2024 dengan subjek penelitian 35 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif jenis deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan wawancara. Menggunakan teknik analisis data interaktif meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan yang didapat dalam penelitian ini adalah profil kemandirian belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPA sudah berkembang baik dengan mayoritas siswa telah menunjukkan aspek kemandirian belajar seperti membaca materi dan mengerjakan soal tanpa bergantung pada orang lain, menyiapkan buku dan alat tulis serta alat bahan percobaan, memiliki target belajar, menyusun kegiatan belajarnya sendiri, tidak menyerah dalam mengerjakan tugas, bersemangat dalam percobaan meskipun sulit, memanfaatkan sumber belajar, menjawab pertanyaan berdasarkan sumber relevan, membuat catatan materi, bertanya mengenai hal yang belum dipahami, belajar lebih giat ketka mendapatkan nilai yang kurang baik, mengetahui bagian materi yang belum dikuasai, memeriksa jawaban yang telah dikerjakan, mengerjakan tugas dengan tenang, percaya diri dalam mengungkapkan pendapat, dan siap untuk belajar. This research is motivated by a preliminary study which shows the results that there are still some students who have not shown aspects of learning independence. Based on this, the researcher conducted a study with the aim of finding out more about student learning independence in science subjects in class V in one of the elementary schools in Susukan District, Cirebon Regency in the 2023/2024 school year with 35 students as research subjects. This study uses descriptive type qualitative research methods with observation and interview data collection techniques. Using interactive data analysis techniques including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings obtained in this study are that the profile of student learning independence in science subjects has developed well with the majority of students having shown aspects of learning independence such as reading material and working on problems without depending on others, preparing books and stationery and experimental materials, having learning targets, arranging their own learning activities, not giving up on assignments, being enthusiastic in experiments even though it is difficult, utilizing learning resources, answering questions based on relevant sources, making material notes, ask about things that have not been understood, studying harder when getting poor grades, knowing the parts of the material that have not been mastered, checking the answers that have been done, doing assignments calmly, being confident in expressing opinions, and being ready to learn.
