Abstract

Tren penelitian menunjukkan masih banyak peserta didik yang kesulitan dalam pemahaman konsep dan menulis teks eksplanasi. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan menulis karangan eksplanasi peserta didik yang menggunakan model pembelajaran RADEC dengan modul digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimental. Subyek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V di SDN 4 Menteng kota Palangka Raya. Teknik pengumpulan data melibatkan tes pemahaman konsep teks eksplanasi dan keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi. Analisis datanya menggunakan uji parametrik paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Model pembelajaran RADEC dengan modul digital mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep teks eksplanasi peserta didik secara signifikan. Model pembelajaran RADEC dengan modul digital dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi peserta didik secara signifikan. Penerapan model pembelajaran RADEC dengan modul digital secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi peserta didik di kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Peningkatan rata-rata dalam skor pemahaman konseptual dalam kelompok eksperimen adalah 20,82, sedangkan dalam kelompok kontrol itu hanya 13,26. Ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model RADEC menghasilkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman konsep. Selain itu, penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC dengan modul digital menunjukkan efektivitas yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks menjelaskan. Kelas eksperimental menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata 16,49 dalam keterampilan menulis teks penjelasan, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya menunjukkan peningkatan 11,12. Efektivitas model RADEC ditunjukkan tidak hanya dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan konseptual, tetapi juga dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis dalam teks penjelasan. Penggunaan model RADEC dengan modul digital memiliki implikasi dalam memberdayakan peserta didik untuk memperoleh pengetahuan secara otonom serta mempromosikan kecerdasan siswa dan menumbuhkan minat yang tajam dalam membaca.

Research trends show that there are still many students who have difficulty in understanding concepts and writing explanatory texts. Therefore, this study aims to see how the concept understanding and writing skills of students who use the RADEC learning model with digital modules. The method used is quasi-experimental. The subjects of this study were students in one of the elementary schools in Palangka Raya city. Data collection techniques involved tests of concept understanding of explanatory text and writing skills of explanatory text. The data analysis used parametric paired sample t-test. The results showed that the RADEC learning model with digital modules was able to significantly improve students' understanding of the concept of explanatory text. The RADEC learning model with digital modules can significantly improve learners' explanatory text writing skills. The application of RADEC learning model with digital module significantly improved the conceptual understanding and writing skills of learners in the experimental class compared to the control class. The average increase in conceptual understanding score in the experimental group was 20.82, while in the control group it was only 13.26. This indicates that the implementation of the RADEC model resulted in a significant increase in concept understanding. In addition, the use of the RADEC learning model with digital modules showed higher effectiveness compared to the control group in improving the skill of writing explanatory text. The experimental class showed an average improvement of 16.49 in explanatory text writing skills, while the control class only showed an improvement of 11.12. The effectiveness of the RADEC model was demonstrated not only in improving conceptual knowledge, but also in improving writing skills in explanatory texts. The use of the RADEC model with digital modules has implications in empowering students to acquire knowledge autonomously as well as promoting student intelligence and fostering a keen interest in reading.
