Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi berdasarkan kajian mengenai kompetensi fasilitator Outdoor Adventure Education (OAE) untuk anak usia dini yang masih belum memahami terkait konsep dasar yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran OAE. Salah satu alternatif solusi yang diperlukan untuk memperluas wawasan fasilitator adalah membaca berbagai referensi atau panduan pelaksanaan OAE. Namun saat ini, buku panduan bagi fasilitator OAE untuk anak usia dini masih terbatas, buku yang tersedia cenderung berisi kumpulan permainan saja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan buku panduan fasilitator OAE untuk anak usia dini yang dapat digunakan oleh fasilitator sebagai referensi dalam mempelajari OAE. Dengan menggunakan metode Educational Design Research (EDR) model McKenney & Reeves, penelitian ini dilakukan melalui tiga tahap yaitu (1) analisis dan eksplorasi, (2) desain dan konstruksi, serta (3) evaluasi dan refleksi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melibatkan satu orang dosen untuk validasi ahli serta 2 orang fasilitator, 2 orang pendidik anak usia dini, dan 1 orang pengembang lembaga OAE untuk memberikan respons pengguna. Hasil pengembangan berupa buku panduan fasilitator OAE untuk anak usia dini yang telah ditinjau oleh ahli berdasarkan materi/isi, penyajian, desain, dan grafika dengan kesimpulan sangat valid, layak, dan sangat baik untuk digunakan. Buku panduan juga mendapatkan respons positif dari pendidik, fasilitator, dan pengembang lembaga OAE. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah buku panduan fasilitator OAE dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu referensi dalam memahami pembelajaran anak usia dini berbasis permainan di luar ruangan. This research is motivated by the study of the competencies of Outdoor Adventure Education (OAE) facilitators for young children who do not yet grasp the basic concepts used in OAE learning. One alternative solution needed to broaden facilitators' insights is to read various references or guides on implementing OAE. However, currently available guidebooks for OAE facilitators of young children are limited; existing books tend to focus only on collections of games. The aim of this research is to develop an OAE facilitator guidebook for young children that can be used by facilitators as a reference in learning OAE. Using the Educational Design Research (EDR) method by McKenney & Reeves, this research is conducted in three stages: (1) analysis and exploration, (2) design and construction, and (3) evaluation and reflection. The study involves one lecturer for expert validation, as well as 2 facilitators, 2 early childhood educators, and 1 OAE institution developer to provide user feedback. The development results in an OAE facilitator guidebook for young children, which has been reviewed by experts based on content, presentation, design, and graphics, concluding it is highly valid, suitable, and excellent for use. The guidebook also receives positive feedback from educators, facilitators, and OAE institution developers. The implication of this research is that the OAE facilitator guidebook can serve as a reference for understanding outdoor play-based learning for young children.
