Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model MICAR (Motivation, Interaction, Collaboration, Attention, Reflection) untuk meningkatkan karakter peduli sosial mahasiswa melalui mata kuliah Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan Di Universitas Muhammadiyah. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) model Borg and Gall dengan tahapan: analisis kebutuhan, perancangan model, validasi ahli, uji coba terbatas, revisi model, dan uji coba luas. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi, yang dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Teknik analisis data untuk uji terbatas menggunakan uji paired t-test, untuk uji luas menggunakan uji non parametrik wilcoxon dilanjutkan dengan uji N-Gain. Desain model MICAR untuk meningkatkan karakter peduli sosial mahasiswa melalui mata kuliah Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) di Universitas Muhammadiyah yaitu berdasarkan tiga landasan utama, filosafis humanisme (pembelajaran yang berpusat pada mahasiswa), Social learning theory (perilaku manusia terbentuk dari sebuah proses observation, imitation, modeling), cooperative learning theory (menekankan kolaborasi antar mahasiswa). Model MICAR terdiri dari komponen utama yang diterapkan melalui lima tahapan atau sintaks, yaitu orientasi terhadap masalah, memfasilitasi dialog aktif, stimulasi kolaborasi, menciptakan pembelajaran menarik, refleksi dan evaluasi Efektifitas model MICAR untuk meningkatkan karakter peduli sosial mahasiswa melalui mata kuliah Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) di Universitas Muhammadiyah diuji dengan uji wilcoxon. Untuk melihat peningkatan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan postest diuji dengan uji N-Gain dengan rata-rata peningkatan tinggi. Implementasi model MICAR berpotensi besar untuk meningkatkan karakter peduli sosial mahasiswa. This study aims to develop the MICAR (Motivation, Interaction, Collaboration, Attention, Reflection) model to enhance students' social care character through Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah courses at Muhammadiyah University. The method used follows the Borg and Gall Research and Development (R&D) model, which includes the following stages: needs analysis, model design, expert validation, limited trials, model revision, and extensive trials. Data was collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed using both descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The data analysis technique for limited trials involved the paired t-test, while for extensive trials, the Wilcoxon non-parametric test was used, followed by the N-Gain test. The design of the MICAR model to improve students' social care character through Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah (AIK) courses at Muhammadiyah University is based on three main foundations: philosophical humanism (student-centered learning), social learning theory (human behavior is shaped by observation, imitation, and modeling), and cooperative learning theory (which emphasizes collaboration between students). The MICAR model consists of core components implemented through five stages or syntax: problem orientation, facilitating active dialogue, stimulating collaboration, creating engaging learning experiences, and conducting reflection and evaluation. The effectiveness of the MICAR model in enhancing students' social care character through the Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah (AIK) courses at Muhammadiyah University was tested using the Wilcoxon test. To measure the significant improvement between pretest and posttest scores, the N-Gain test was applied, revealing a high average increase. The implementation of the MICAR model shows great potential to enhance students' social care character.
