Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi pemanasan global. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pre - experimental design dengan one-group pretest-posttest design dengan sampel sebanyak 34 orang peserta didik pada salah satu sekolah SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah pretest dan posttest kemampuan berpikir kritis berupa soal essay dan keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran. Keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) memperoleh hasil sebesar 96,66% yang artinya keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik. Uji yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah Uji N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan perolehan skor pretest sebesar 20,44 dan posttest sebesar 24,14 dengan hasi N-gain 0,27 yang artinya ada peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan kategori “rendah”. Hasil N-Gain untuk setiap indikator termasuk dalam kategori “rendah” dengan hasil indikator interpretasi 0,02, indikator analisis 0,00, indikator evaluasi 0,02, indikator inferensi 0,01, indikator eksplanasi 0,02 dan indikator regulasi diri 0,02. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada materi pemanasan global dengan kategori rendah. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. The instruments used were pretest and posttest critical thinking skills in the form of essay questions and implementation of the learning model. The implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model obtained results of 96.66%, which means that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model is included in the very good category. The test carried out in this research was the N-gain test. The results of the research show that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model affects students' critical thinking abilities with a pretest score of 20.44 and a posttest of 24.14 with an N-gain of 0.27, which means there is an increase in students' critical thinking abilities by “low” category. The N-Gain results for each indicator are included in the "low" category with interpretation indicator results of 0.02, analysis indicators of 0.00, evaluation indicators of 0.02, inference indicators of 0.01, explanation indicators of 0.02 and self-regulation indicators of 0. 02. It can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model shows an increase in critical thinking skills in global warming material in the low category.
