Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengembangan perencanaan karier merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam pendidikan bagi siswa SMA. Pada tahap ini, siswa berada dalam fase transisi yang signifikan menuju masa depan, di mana mereka mulai merencanakan arah karier yang akan mereka tempuh. Hope action theory menawarkan pendekatan yang efektif untuk membantu siswa dalam proses ini. Dengan menerapkan hope action theory, siswa dapat lebih mengenali potensi diri mereka, memahami kekuatan dan kelemahan pribadi, serta merancang tujuan karier yang sesuai dengan minat dan bakat mereka. Teori ini juga membantu siswa untuk membangun rasa percaya diri dan ketahanan dalam menghadapi tantangan, sehingga mereka lebih siap untuk mengelola masa depan karier mereka dengan lebih terarah dan penuh harapan. Implementasi hope action theory dalam bimbingan karier di sekolah dapat menjadi landasan yang kuat untuk menciptakan generasi yang siap menghadapi dinamika dunia kerja yang terus berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji apakah bimbingan karier berbasis hope action theory dapat mengembangkan perencanaan karier bagi peserta didik sekolah menengah atas, serta implikasinya terhadap kesiapan kerja dan keberhasilan karier di masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) profil perencanaan karier peserta didik, (2) rumusan program hipotetik bimbingan karier berbasis hope action theory untuk mengembangkan perencanaan karier, serta (3) menguji apakah bimbingan karier berbasis hope action theory mampu mengembangkan perencanaan karier peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan pre eksperimen dengan desain one group pre-test post-test, di mana kelompok subjek diberikan tes sebelum dan sesudah intervensi untuk mengukur perubahan yang terjadi akibat perlakuan yang diberikan. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah 304 dengan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 30 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah “instrumen perencanaan karier” dengan menggunakan skala model Likert. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dengan metode uji non-parametrik Wilcoxon dan uji N-Gain. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa: (1) perencanaan karier peserta didik SMAK 1 BPK Penabur Bandung berada pada kategori cukup mampu, (2) rumusan program bimbingan karier berbasis hope action theory untuk mengembangkan perencanaan karier dinyatakan valid untuk dilaksanakan dilapangan, dan (3) bimbingan karier berbasis hope action theory mampu mengembangkan kemampuan perencanaan karier peserta didik dengan nilai Asymp. Sig.(2-tailed) 0,000. Rekomendasi bagi Bimbingan dan Konseling dapat mengimplementasikan pemberian layanan bimbingan karier berbasis hope action theory di SMA dengan menyesuaikan need assessment peserta didik. At this stage, students are in a significant transitional phase towards the future, where they begin to plan the direction their career will take. Hope Action Theory offers an effective approach to assist students in this process. By applying hope action theory, students can better recognise their potential, understand personal strengths and weaknesses, and design career goals that match their interests and talents. This theory also helps students to build self-confidence and resilience in the face of challenges, so that they are better equipped to manage their career future in a more purposeful and hopeful manner. The implementation of hope action theory in career guidance in schools can be a strong foundation to create a generation that is ready to face the dynamics of the ever-evolving world of work. This research aims to examine whether classical guidance based on hope action theory can develop career planning for high school students, as well as its implications for work readiness and future career success. This research aims to analyse: (1) career planning profile, (2) formulate a hypothetical programme of guidance based on hope action theory to develop career planning, and (3) test whether classical guidance based on hope action theory can develop student career planning. This study used a pre-experimental approach with a one group pre-test post-test design, where the subject group was given a test before and after the intervention to measure changes that occurred due to the treatment given. The research participants totalled 304 with a sample of 30 students. The instrument used was a ‘career planning instrument’ using a Likert scale model. This study uses descriptive statistical techniques with the Wilcoxon non-parametric test method and the N-Gain test. The research findings show that: (1) the career planning of students of SMAK 1 BPK Penabur Bandung is in the quite capable category, (2) the formulation of career guidance programme based on hope action theory to develop career planning is declared valid to be implemented in the field, and (3) career guidance based on hope action theory is able to develop students career planning skills with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000. Recomendation for Guidance and Counselling can implement the provision of classical guidance services based on hope action theory in high school by adjusting the need assessment of students.
