Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tutur bahasa laki-laki dan representasi maskulinitas yang terdapat pada film Korea yang berjudul The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data studi dokumentasi menggunakan teori Roland Barthes. Hasil penelitian menemukan 6 data fitur bahasa laki-laki menurut teori Deborah Tannen dan Coates, yaitu konfrontatif, kompetitif, collaborative talk, to the point, konflik, kemandirian. Tanda maskulinitas diambil adegan dalam film dengan signifier adegan yang mencangkup verbal ataupun non verbal dari masing-masing karakter utama dalam film. Terdapat 3 karakter utama dengan masing-masing karakter mempunyai 5 aspek maskulinitas menurut teori Janet Saltzman Chafetz, yaitu penampilan, emosi, intelektual, interpersonal, dan karakter personal. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, disimpulkan bahwa representasi maskulinitas ketiga tokoh utama dalam film 'The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil' memperlihatkan berbagai aspek maskulinitas yang kompleks dan beragam. Karakteristik seperti penampilan fisik, emosi, intelektual, interpersonal, dan karakter personal lainnya tercermin menunjukan tokoh-tokoh utama dalam film tersebut mempunyai maskulinitas yang kuat. This study aims to examine the male speech and masculinity representation found in the Korean film entitled The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with the data collection technique of documentation studies using Roland Barthes' theory. According to Deborah Tannen and Coates's theory of confrontation, competitive, collaborative talk, to the point, conflict, the results of the study found six male-language feature data. The signs of masculinity are shot in the film with significant scenes that include verbal or nonverbal characters from each of the main characters in the film. There are three main characters with five aspects of masculinity according to Janet Saltzman Chafetz's theory of appearance, emotion, intellectual, interpersonal, and personal character. Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the representations of the masculinity of the three main characters in the film 'The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil' showed various aspects of complex and diverse masculinity. Characteristics such as physical, emotional, intellectual, interpersonal, and other personal characters are reflected in the film's strong masculinity. 본 연구는 갱스터, 코프, 악마라는 제목의 한국 영화에서 발견되는 남성 언어와 남성성의 표현을 검토하는 것을 목표로 한다. 본 연구의 방법은 롤랜드 바르트 이론(Roland Barthes theory)을 사용하여 문서화된 연구 데이터를 수집하는 기술이 사용되었다. 연구 결과에 따르면 데보라 타넨과 코츠의 이론에 의해 대립, 경쟁, 협력적 대화, 요점, 갈등, 독립에 대한 6가지 남성 언어 특징 데이터를 발견했다. 남성성의 징후는 영화에서 주인공의 언어적 또는 비언어적 장면 중 중요한 장면과 함께 촬영되었다. 자넷 솔츠만 샤페츠의 이론에 따르면, 각각의 등장인물에는 외모, 감정, 지적, 대인관계, 개인적 성격 등 남성성의 5가지 측면이 있는 3가지 주요 등장인물이 있다. 분석 결과에 따르면 영화 '깡패, 콥, 악마' 속 주인공 3명의 남성성은 복잡하고 다양한 남성성의 다양한 모습을 보여준다는 결론이 나왔다. 외모, 감정, 지적, 대인관계, 그리고 다른 개인적인 특징들과 같은 특징들은 영화의 주인공들이 강한 남성성을 가지고 있다는 것을 보여준다.
