Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pengaruh metode pembelajaran team quiz terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa SMA pada materi ekosistem. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian quasi eksperimental. Desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu pretest-posttest control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal pretest dan posttest sebanyak 30 soal yang digunakan untuk mengukur penguasaan konsep siswa dan angket skala-likert dengan 15 pernyataan untuk mengukur respon siswa dengan penerapan metode belajar team quiz. Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa penguasaan konsep siswa mengalami kenaikan yang signifikan dalam kelas yang menggunakan metode team quiz namun dari hasil uji rata-rata, kenaikan tersebut tidak berbeda dengan kenaikan pada kelas konvensional 0,414> α(0,05). skor n-gain menunjukan penguasaan konsep pada kelas metode team quiz juga masih tergolong rendah menandakan pembelajaran yang kurang efektif. Hasil analisis respons siswa terhadap penggunaan metode belajar menunjukan perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelas dengan kelas eksperimen yang memiliki respons yang lebih positif dengan rata-rata 58.84>56.23. Temuan ini menunjukan bahwa metode pembelajaran team quiz memiliki pengaruh terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa yang sama dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional Namun metode team quiz dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. This study aims to investigate the effect of the team quiz learning method on high school students' conceptual understanding related to ecosystems. The research method used is a quasi-experimental research method. The research design employed in this study is a pretest-posttest control group design. The instruments used include a pretest and posttest consisting of 30 questions to measure students' concept mastery and a Likert-scale questionnaire with 15 statements to measure students' responses to the implementation of the team quiz learning method. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' concept mastery in the class using the team quiz method; however, the average test results indicated that this increase was not different from that in the conventional class (0.414 > α(0.05)). The n-gain score also showed that concept mastery in the class with the team quiz method remained low, indicating less effective learning. The analysis of students' responses to the use of the learning method showed a significant difference between the two classes, with the experimental class having a more positive response, averaging 58.84 compared to 56.23.These findings indicate that the team quiz learning method has an effect on students' concept mastery comparable to that of conventional learning methods. However, the team quiz method can increase students' motivation and participation in the learning process.
