Abstract
Kemampuan computational thinking merupakan bagian dari proses dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Pandangan terhadap matematika dapat menimbulkan kecemasan matematis pada siswa, sehingga dapat menjadi dampak kepada kemampuan berpikir computational thinking siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan computational thinking siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika, kecemasan matematis yang dialami siswa, dan kemampuan computational thinking siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika ditinjau dari tingkat kecemasan matematis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP Negeri di kota Bandung yang telah mempelajari materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teknik tes berupa tes kemampuan computational thinking dan non-tes berupa angket kecemasan matematis dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar kemampuan computational thinking siswa berada pada kategori sedang dan sebagian besar siswa memiliki tingkat kecemasan matematis sedang. Kemampuan computational thinking siswa dengan tingkat kecemasan matematis tinggi belum mampu memenuhi satupun indikator kemampuan computational thinking, kemampuan computational thinking siswa dengan tingkat kecemasan matematis sedang hanya mampu memenuhi indikator dekomposisi dan pengenalan pola saja, dan kemampuan computational thinking siswa dengan tingkat kecemasan matematis rendah sudah memenuhi keempat indikator kemampuan computational thinking yakni, dekomposisi, pengenalan pola, abstraksi, dan berpikir algoritma. Computational thinking skills are a crucial part of the problem-solving process. Students' perceptions of mathematics can lead to mathematical anxiety, which may impact their ability to engage in computational thinking. This study aims to describe students' computational thinking abilities in solving mathematical problems, the mathematical anxiety experienced by students, and how students' computational thinking skills are influenced by their level of mathematical anxiety. The research method used in this study is a case study with a qualitative approach. The subjects of the research were eighth-grade students at a public junior high school in Bandung who had studied the topic of three-dimensional shapes. Data collection techniques included a computational thinking ability test and non-test methods such as a mathematical anxiety questionnaire and interview guidelines. The results showed that most students' computational thinking abilities were in the moderate category, and most students had a moderate level of mathematical anxiety. Students with high levels of mathematical anxiety were unable to meet any of the computational thinking indicators. Students with moderate levels of mathematical anxiety could only meet the indicators of decomposition and pattern recognition, while students with low levels of mathematical anxiety met all four computational thinking indicators: decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking.
