    Abstract

    Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP melalui media pembelajaran interaktif berbantuan scratch dengan model discovery learning. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif berbantuan scratch dengan model discovery learning lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada siswa yang menggunakan model discovery learning tanpa media pembelajaran interaktif berbantuan scratch. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII pada salah satu SMP di Kota Bekasi. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak dua kelas, dengan kelas eksperimen menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif berbantuan scratch dengan model discovery learning berjumlah 36 siswa dan kelas kontrol menggunakan model discovery learning tanpa media pembelajaran interaktif berbantuan scratch berjumlah 38 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif berbantuan scratch dengan model discovery learning tidak lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada siswa kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model discovery learning tanpa media pembelajaran interaktif berbantuan scratch, namun peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif berbantuan scratch dengan model discovery learning lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada siswa kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model discovery learning tanpa media pembelajaran interaktif berbantuan scratch.

    This research examines improving junior high school students critical thinking skills through scratch-assisted interactive learning media with the discovery learning. The aim of this research is to determine the achievement and improvement of students critical thinking skills who use scratch-assisted interactive learning media with the discovery learning are significantly higher than students who use the discovery learning without scratch-assisted interactive learning media. This type of research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method and a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students of class VII in one of the junior high schools in Bekasi City. The sample used were two classes, with the experimental class using scratch-assisted interactive learning media with the discovery learning totaling 36 students and the control class using the discovery learning without scratch-assisted interactive learning media totaling 38 students. The results of the research show that the achievement of students critical thinking skills who use scratch-assisted interactive learning media with the discovery learning are not significantly higher than control class students using the discovery learning without scratch-assisted interactive learning media, but the improvement of students critical thinking skills who use scratch-assisted interactive learning media with the discovery learning are significantly higher than control class students using the discovery learning without scratch-assisted interactive learning media.
