Abstract

This research is motivated by the large number of students who have not achieved the learning targets for the topic of types of joints in Basic Mechanical Engineering subjects. This issue is attributed to the transition period from junior high school to vocational high school, during which students are not yet accustomed to adapting to technical objects, including fully understanding the types of machine component joints. The use of Articulate Storyline as a learning media is expected to improve students' ability to master the topic of types of joints. This study aims to produce Articulate Storyline learning media that is suitable for students and to assess user responses, in this case, the students. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D model (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). The research was conducted at SMKN 2 Cimahi with a sample of 67 students from Class X of Mechanical Engineering A and X of Mechanical Engineering B. The media produced in this study has been proven to be feasible and valid according to media and subject matter experts. The responses from the students were very positive.
