Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk memperoleh pengetahuan mengenai pemahaman pengasuh dan pengurus serta praktik pengasuhan yang diberikan pada anak usia dini, dan kendala yang dirasakan oleh pengasuh dan pengurus serta upaya mengatasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara pada pengasuh, pengurus, serta anak paling besar. Adapun observasi dilakukan dengan melibatkan anak usia dini sebagai salah satu subjek yang ikut serta dalam praktik pengasuh, observasi ini dilakukan dengan tujuan melihat kebenaran adanya praktik pengasuhan di panti asuhan tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pemahaman pengasuh dan pengurus didapatkan dari pelatihan secara rutin dengan tujuan mensejahterakan anak. Strategi praktik pengasuhan pada anak berupa pemenuhan kebutuhan; (1) fisik meliputi pakaian dan makan anak, jaminan kesehatan dan keselamatan; (2) keterampilan sosial-emosional; (3) pemenuhan kebutuhan pendidikan, melalui pemberian pendidikan formal hingga perguruan tinggi dan pendidikan informal melalui penanaman keagamaan dan program kurikulum Tarbiyah. Terdapat kendala yang dirasakan oleh pengasuh dan pengurus berupa pelatihan yang diwakilkan, kurangnya perhatian akan sarana dan prasarana, kendala pendanaan, dan praktik kurikulum Tarbiyah tidak berjalan dengan rencana yang disusun oleh lembaga yayasan. The purpose of this study was to obtain knowledge about the understanding of caregivers and managers and the care practices given to early childhood, and the obstacles felt by caregivers and managers and efforts to overcome them. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data collection through interviews with caregivers, managers, and the oldest child. The observation was carried out by involving early childhood as one of the subjects who participated in the caregiving practice, this observation was carried out with the aim of seeing the truth of the caregiving practices in the orphanage. Based on the results of the study, the understanding of caregivers and managers was obtained from routine training with the aim of improving children's welfare. The strategy for caring for children in the form of fulfilling needs; (1) physical including children's clothing and food, health and safety guarantees; (2) social-emotional skills; (3) fulfilling educational needs, through the provision of formal education up to college and informal education through religious instillation and the Tarbiyah curriculum program. There are obstacles felt by caregivers and administrators in the form of delegated training, lack of attention to facilities and infrastructure, funding constraints, and the practice of the Tarbiyah curriculum does not run according to the plan prepared by the foundation institution.
