Abstract

Legenda Malin Kundang terkenal sebagai kisah seorang anak yang durhaka kepada ibunya. Banyak penelitian telah menganalisis nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam cerita ini, namun nilai moral yang terkandung di dalamnya sering kali tertutupi oleh simbolisme Malin Kundang sebagai anak durhaka. Meskipun berbagai penelitian telah dilakukan, baik dalam pengungkapan nilai moral maupun dalam dekontruksi cerita, legenda Malin Kundang tetap identik sebagai cerita anak yang durhaka. Merujuk anak durhaka pada legenda Malin Kundang, penelitian ini terinspirasi menganalisis struktur dan karakter yang terkandung di dalamnya. Tujuannya adalah untuk melakukan alih wahana struktur dan karakter dari legenda Malin Kundang. Alih wahana yang ingin dilakukan adalah untuk menciptakan teks baru dengan cerita perilaku anak yang terpuji. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Art Based Research dengan varian Fiction Based Research yang menghasilkan novel berjudul Atlan Pemburu Bayangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur legenda Malin Kundang tidak dapat dipertahankan untuk novel fiksi fantasi, dan karakter Malin Kundang di akhir cerita menunjukkan perilaku yang tidak bermoral. Oleh karena itu, struktur dan karakter dalam legenda Malin Kundang tidak dapat dipertahankan sepenuhnya setelah diadaptasi menjadi novel fiksi fantasi berbasis Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Penciptaan novel terbagi atas tiga elemen penting: fiksi yang didasari atas kehidupan dunia nyata untuk penciptaan dunia primer, fantasi yang membutuhkan fantasy-land untuk penciptaan dunia sekunder, dan nilai-nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila yang memfasilitasi penciptaan karakter-karakter terpuji. Novel ini telah diuji oleh validator dan dinyatakan layak sebagai bahan pengayaan literasi. Proses penilaian novel dilakukan oleh pakar sastra, novelis, guru SMP dan guru SMA dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian Great Wheel. The legend of Malin Kundang is famous as the story of a son who is ungrateful to his mother. Many studies have analyzed the values contained in this story, but the moral values it contains are often overshadowed by the symbolism of Malin Kundang as an ungrateful son. Despite various studies being conducted, both in revealing moral values and in deconstructing the story, the legend of Malin Kundang remains identified as a story of an ungrateful child. Referring to the ungrateful child in the legend of Malin Kundang, this research is inspired to analyze the structure and characters contained within it. This research uses the Art-Based Research method with a Fiction-Based Research variant, resulting in a novel titled Atlan Pemburu Bayangan. This novel has been tested by validators and declared suitable as literacy enrichment material. The aim is to adaptation the structure and characters from the legend of Malin Kundang. The adaptation is to create a new text with a story of praiseworthy child behavior. The research results indicate that the structure of the legend of Malin Kundang cannot be retained for a fantasy fiction novel, and Malin Kundang's character at the end of the story exhibits immoral behavior. Therefore, the structure and characters in the legend of Malin Kundang cannot be fully retained after being adapted into a fantasy fiction novel based on the Profil Pelajar Pancasila. The creation of the novel is divided into three important elements: fiction based on real-world life for the creation of the primary world, fantasy requiring a fantasy-land for the creation of the secondary world, and the values of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila that facilitate the creation of praiseworthy characters. The novel assessment process was carried out by literary experts, novelists, junior high school teachers, and high school teachers using the Great Wheel research instrument.
