Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi objektif mengenai masalah ecoliteracy siswa terhadap mencintai lingkungan yang berdampak pada lingkungan sekolah. Hal ini terjadi karena siswa kurang memahami dan kurang menyadari akan pentingnya memiliki kesadaran ecoliteracy terutama pada lingkungan. Akibatnya, siswa menjadi tidak peduli jika melihat lingkungan kotor, tidak asri, tanaman kering sampai layu sehingga mengakibatkan lingkungan sekolah tidak nyaman. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka perlulah pembelajaran yang memberikan pemahaman, kesadaran dan aplikasi pada siswa agar memiliki kesadaran ecoliteracy. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran ecoliteracy terhadap lingkungan yaitu dengan melakukan proyek menanam pohon pucuk merah yang dilaksanakan dengan pembelajaran tematik menggunakan model RADEC (Read,Answer Discus,Explain and Create). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) dengan desain penelitian dari Kemmis dan Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan, Tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Pada siklus I setiap aspek kesadaran ecoliteracy masih sangat rendah dan bearada pada kategori “Cukup”. Untuk siklus II aspek kesadaran ecoliteracy memiliki peningkatan dan berada pada kategori “Baik”. Sedangkan untuk siklus ke III peningkatan kesadaran ecolitercy meningkat secara signifikan dan berada pada kategori “Sangat Baik”. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah Efektivitas Pembelajaran Tematik Menggunakan Model RADEC dapat Meningkatkan Kesadaran Ecoliteracy Siswa Kelas IV B di SDN 150 Gatot Subroto. This research is motivated by objective conditions regarding the problem of students' ecoliteracy towards loving the environment which has an impact on the school environment. This happens because students do not understand and are less aware of the importance of having ecoliteracy awareness, especially regarding the environment. As a result, students don't care if they see the environment is dirty, not beautiful, plants are dry to the point of wilting, resulting in an uncomfortable school environment. To overcome this problem, learning is needed that provides understanding, awareness and application to students so that they have ecoliteracy awareness. The aim of this research is to increase ecoliteracy awareness of the environment, namely by carrying out a project to plant red shoot trees which is carried out with thematic learning using the RADEC (Read, Answer Discus, Explain and Create) model. The research method used is PTK (Classroom Action Research) with a research design from Kemmis and Taggart which consists of planning, action, observation and reflection. This research instrument uses tests, observation and documentation. The results of this research show an increase in each cycle. In cycle I, every aspect of ecoliteracy awareness was still very low and was in the "Enough" category. For cycle II, the ecoliteracy awareness aspect has increased and is in the "Good" category. Meanwhile, for the third cycle, the increase in ecoliteracy awareness increased significantly and was in the "Very Good" category. The conclusion in this research is that the effectiveness of thematic learning using the RADEC model can increase the ecoliteracy awareness of class IV B students at SDN 150 Gatot Subroto.
