Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya kemampuan dan pemahaman guru dalam proses pembelajaran, dimana guru masih menggunakan pembelajaran yang konvensional. Maka dari itu, dengan menggunakan Pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif tentunya akan menambah semangat, pengalaman dan motivasi siswa ketika belajar Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan seberapa signifikan pengaruh Pendekatan pembelajaran ASSURE untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV pada materi Kegiatan Jual Beli. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pada sesuatu yang diberikan perlakuan (treatment) yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa adanya pengaruh pengaruh Pendekatan pembelajaran ASSURE untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV, yang ditunjukan oleh hasil uji paired sample t-test yang menunjukan data pre-test dan post-test kelas eksperimen adalah .000 yang berarti Hₐ diterima, dan rata-rata (mean) gain kelas eksperimen 0.5917 jika dalam bentuk persennya yakni 59,17%, sedangkan kelas kontrol didapatkan rata-rata (mean) indeks gain yaitu 0.4376 jika dalam bentuk persennya yakni 43.76%, kedua persentase ini menunjukan bahwa Pendekatan pembelajaran ASSURE efektif untuk digunakan. ------------ This research is based on the low critical thinking ability of students caused by the lack of ability and understanding of teachers in the learning process, where teachers still use conventional learning. Therefore, using a more innovative learning approach will certainly increase students' enthusiasm, experience and motivation when learning Based on these problems, the researcher conducted research with the aim of finding out the influence and how significant the influence of the ASSURE learning approach is to improve the critical thinking skills of grade IV students in the material of Buying and selling Activities. The method used in this study is quasi- experimental, with the aim of finding out the effect on something that is given a treatment, namely the control class and the experimental class. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of the ASSURE learning approach to improve the critical thinking skills of grade IV students, which was shown by the results of the paired sample t-test which showed that the pre-test and post-test data of the experimental class was .000 which means Hₐ was accepted, and the average gain of the experimental class was 0.5917 if it was in the form of a percentage, which was 59.17%, while the control class obtained a mean gain index of 0.4376 if it was in the form of a percentage Namely 43.76%, these two percentages show that the ASSURE learning approach is effective to use.
