Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan media aplikasi Wordwall terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas V pada materi IPS tentang Mengenal tokoh pada masa penjajahan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 60 peserta didik kelas V di SD Negeri 3 Sukamerang, Kabupaten Garut, yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan aplikasi Wordwall dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan dalam hasil belajar peserta didik yang menggunakan aplikasi Wordwall dibandingkan dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Skor rata-rata post-test peserta didik kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelompok kontrol, dengan perbedaan signifikan menurut uji t (t-test). Analisis N-Gain juga menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi Wordwall memiliki efektivitas yang tinggi dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa aplikasi Wordwall efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi IPS, khususnya pada materi tentang Mengenal tokoh pada masa penjajahan. Disarankan agar guru memanfaatkan aplikasi ini sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian lebih lanjut dengan sampel yang lebih besar dan desain yang lebih ketat diperlukan untuk mengkonfirmasi temuan ini. ---------- This study aims to examine the effect of using the Wordwall application media on improving the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in Social Studies (IPS) on the topic of historical figures during the colonial period. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of 60 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Sukamerang, Garut Regency, who were divided into two groups: the experimental group using the Wordwall application and the control group using conventional teaching methods. The results showed a significant improvement in the learning outcomes of students using the Wordwall application compared to those using conventional teaching methods. The average post-test scores of the experimental group students were higher than those of the control group, with significant differences according to the t-test. The N-Gain analysis also indicated that the use of the Wordwall application has high effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes. This study concludes that the Wordwall application is effective in enhancing student learning outcomes in Social Studies, especially on the topic of historical figures during the colonial period. It is recommended that teachers utilize this application as a teaching aid to increase student engagement and learning outcomes. Further research with larger samples and more rigorous designs is needed to confirm these findings.
