Abstract

Pada sekolah dasar pendidikan karakter sangat ditekankan untuk peserta didik sebagai penerus bangsa agar mempunyai akhlak dan moral yang baik. Peningkatan karakter peserta didik dapat dilakukan melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, salah satu contoh ekstrakurikuler di sekolah adalah Pramuka, dengan kegiatan-kegiatan yang positif diharapkan juga dapat mewujudkan siswa yang peduli terhadap lingkungan mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses pelaksanaan pembinaan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa melalui ekstrakurikuler pramuka di SDN Taman Jaya 1, dan mengetahui implikasi karakter peduli lingkungan siswa setelah mengikuti ekstrakurikuler pramuka di SDN Taman Jaya 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V, pembina pramuka, dan kepala sekolah SDN Taman Jaya 1. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan angket/kuesioner. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan data. Validasi data dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan triangulasi dan diskusi teman sejawat. Jumlah responden dalam pengisian angket 34 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa proses pelaksanaan Ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dilaksanakan setiap hari jumat jam 02.00-04.00 WIB sesuai dengan jadwal yang sudah ditentukan, dimulai dengan kegiatan baris-berbaris, kegiatan terkait peduli lingkungan seperti piket kelas, membersihkan halaman sekolah, menyiram tanaman, pematerian, dan penghijauan. Implikasi dari ekstrakurikuler pramuka terhadap pembinaan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa dilihat dari hasil kuesioner yakni 94% menjawab tepat dan 6% siswa menjawab tidak tepat. Hasil kuesioner menunjukkan adanya implikasi yang signifikan dari ekstrakurikuler pramuka terhadap pembinaan karakter peduli lingkungan. In elementary schools, character education is emphasized for students as the nation's successors to have good morals and morals. Improving the character of students can be done through extracurricular activities, one example of extracurricular activities at school is Scouting, with positive activities it is hoped that it can also create students who care about their environment. The purpose of this research is to determine the process of implementing students' environmental care character development through scout extracurriculars at SDN Taman Jaya 1, and to find out the implications of students' environmental care character after participating in scout extracurriculars at SDN Taman Jaya 1. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subjects in this research were fifth grade students, scout leaders, and the principal of SDN Taman Jaya 1. Data collection used in this research was observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis in this research is data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusions. Data validation in this research is by triangulation and peer discussion. The number of respondents in filling out the questionnaire was 34 students. The results of this research found that the Scout Extracurricular implementation process was carried out every Friday at 02.00-04.00 WIB according to a predetermined schedule, starting with marching activities, activities related to caring for the environment such as class picketing, cleaning the school yard, watering plants, sanding, and greening. The implications of scouting extracurricular activities for developing students' environmentally caring character can be seen from the results of the questionnaire, namely 94% answered correctly and 6% of students answered incorrectly. The results of the questionnaire show that there are significant implications of scouting extracurricular activities for developing environmentally caring character.
