Abstract

Pendekatan merupakan salah satu komponen yang penting dalam pembelajaran. Salah satu pendekatan yang sesuai dengan kondisi pembelajaran di Abad ke-21 adalah STEAM (Science, Technology, Art, Engineering, and Mathematics). STEAM dapat tersampaikan dengan baik dengan adanya media pembelajaran yang tepat. Pada penelitian ini, media yang digunakan adalah aplikasi berbasis Augmented Reality. Augmented Reality mempunyai dampak dan pengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Pendekatan dan media pembelajaran ini dipilih karena sesuai dengan materi yang akan disampaikan yaitu materi sistem tata surya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pendekatan STEAM berbantuan aplikasi augmented reality terhadap pengetahuan siswa kelas VI pada materi tata surya. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena pengetahuan siswa merupakan salah satu penentu kesuksesan suatu pembelajaran. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen melalui pemberian soal pretest dan posttest. Pada uji independent sample t test, hasil tes bernilai 0,001 yang berarti < 0,05 menunjukkan Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima. Maka dari itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi pengaruh dari penerapan pendekatan STEAM berbantuan aplikasi augmented reality terhadap pengetahuan siswa kelas VI pada materi tata surya. Lalu diperoleh bahwa kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai rata-rata n gain yang lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol sehingga mendukung H1 yakni terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan siswa pada materi tata surya yang menggunakan pendekatan STEAM berbantuan aplikasi augmented reality berupa peningkatan yang lebih tinggi pada kelas eksperimen dibanding kelas kontrol. ----------- Approach is an important component of learning. One approach appropriate to learning conditions in the 21st Century is STEAM (Science, Technology, Art, Engineering, and Mathematics). STEAM can be conveyed well with the right learning media. In this research, the media used is an Augmented Reality based application. Augmented Reality has a positive impact and influence on student learning outcomes. This learning approach and media were chosen because they are based on the material that will be presented, namely the solar system. This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the STEAM approach assisted by augmented reality applications on class VI students' knowledge of the solar system material. The approach used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method by providing pretest and posttest questions. In the independent sample t-test, the test result is 0.001, which means <0.05, indicating that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of implementing the STEAM approach assisted by augmented reality applications on class VI students' knowledge of the solar system material. Then it was found that the experimental class had a higher average n gain value than the control class, thus supporting H1, namely that there was a difference in students' knowledge of solar system material using the STEAM approach assisted by the augmented reality application in the form of a higher increase in the experimental class compared to the control class.
