Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa Indonesia masih dalam kategori rendah. Terlebih bila dikaitkan dengan materi metabolisme khususnya fotosintesis yang dianggap sulit oleh siswa. Salah satu pembelajaran yang dapat memfasilitasi peningkatan keterampilan siswa dalam berpikir kritis adalah pembelajaran kolaboratif kontekstual yaitu siswa dilibatkan untuk membuat panduan praktikum fotosintesis secara kolaboratif juga mengaitkan fotosintesis dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai pengaruh pembelajaran kolaboratif kontesktual terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMA pada materi fotosintesis. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimental. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest & post-test design yang diawali dengan pretest kemudian pembelajaran fotosintesis menggunakan pembelajaran kolaboratif kontesktual dan diakhiri dengan post-test. Partisipan penelitian terdiri atas 27 orang siswa kelas XI di salah satu SMA Kota Bandung. Pengambilan data penelitian menggunakan 12 soal keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran kolaboratif kontesktual dan angket respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran kolaboratif kontekstual. Pembelajaran kolaboratif kontekstual berpengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan perolehan N-Gain yang termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang, siswa sudah bisa menentukan urutan praktikum uji Sachs dan uji Ingenhousz. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran kolaboratif kontekstual termasuk ke dalam kategori tinggi dan respon siswa positif terhadap pembelajaran kolaboratif kontekstual. The critical thinking skills of Indonesian students are still in the low category. Especially when associated with metabolic material, especially photosynthesis, which is considered difficult by students. One of the learning that can facilitate the improvement of students' ability to think critically is contextual collaborative learning, in which students are involved in making a photosynthesis practicum guide collaboratively and also linking photosynthesis to everyday life. Therefore, the aim of this study was to obtain information about the effect of contextual collaborative learning on critical thinking skills of high school students on photosynthesis material. The method used in this research is pre-experimental. The research design used is one group pretest & post-test design which begins with a pretest then learning photosynthesis using contextual collaborative learning and ends with a post-test. The research participants consisted of 27 students of class XI in one of the high schools in Bandung. The data were collected using 12 questions on students' critical thinking skills, Student Worksheet, implementation sheet of contextual collaborative learning and student response questionnaire on contextual collaborative learning. Contextual collaborative learning has a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills with the acquisition of N-Gain which is included in the medium category, students are able to determine the practical sequence of the Sachs and Ingenhousz test, the implementation of contextual collaborative learning is included in the high category and student responses are positive to contextual collaborative learning.
