Abstract
Kasus kekerasan seksual merupakan suatu kasus yang selalu ramai diperbincangkan di lingkungan masyarakat terutama di Indonesia, hal tersebut membuat masyarakat terutama seniman-seniman untuk melakukan pergerakan kampanye pencegahan kekerasan seksual dengan membuat poster. Poster merupakan salah satu media informasi yang terdiri atas unsur visual dan verbal. Tujuan penyusunan poster biasanya digunakan untuk memberikan informasi secara persuasif, partisipasi, atau berdiskusi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan tanda dan makna di dalam poster kampanye pencegahan kekerasan seksual di Instagram menggunakan teori Semiotika C.S Peirce. Alasan penelitian ini dilakukan karena poster kampanye pencegahan kekerasan seksual terkadang memiliki makna yang tidak selalu jelas. Teori Semiotika C.S Peirce digunakan untuk mengungkapkan hubungan representamen dan objek berdasarkan penggunaan simbol, ikon, dan indeks serta interpretant poster berdasarkan respon komentar penanggap di Instagram. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan model deskriptif. Tempat penelitian ini terdiri atas 6 akun sosial media yaitu Instagram. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 13 poster dengan rentang waktu 2020-2024 dan data komentar penanggap terhadap masing-masing poster. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi, dokumentasi, dan riset sedangkan metode analisis data terdiri atas reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan adanya makna figuratif di dalam poster berdasarkan hubungan representamen dan objek. Simbol dalam poster memuat unsur verbal berupa himbauan dan larangan sedangkan objek banyak menggunakan objek perempuan. Selain itu, interpretasi poster memberikan makna bahwa sebagian besar penanggap paham dengan isi poster. The case of sexual violence is a case that is always discussed in the community, especially in Indonesia, it makes the community, especially artists, to carry out a campaign movement to prevent sexual violence by making posters. Poster is one of the information media consisting of visual and verbal elements. The purpose of making posters is usually used to provide persuasive information, participation, or discussion. This research was conducted to find signs and meanings in the sexual violence prevention campaign posters on Instagram using C.S Peirce's Semiotics theory. The reason this research was conducted is because sexual violence prevention campaign posters sometimes have meanings that are not always clear. C.S Peirce's Semiotics theory is used to reveal the relationship between representamen and object based on the use of symbols, icons, and indexes as well as the interpretant of the poster based on the response of responders' comments on Instagram. This research method uses qualitative methods and descriptive models. The place of this research consists of 6 social media accounts, namely Instagram. The data used in this study amounted to 13 posters with a time span of 2020-2024 and data on responders' comments on each poster. The data collection methods used are observation, documentation, and research methods while the data analysis method consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study found figurative meaning in the posters based on the relationship between the representamen and the object. The symbol in the poster contains verbal elements in the form of appeals and prohibitions while the object uses many female objects. In addition, the interpretation of the poster means that most responders understand the content of the poster.
