Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang membahasa tentang analisis tingkat pemahaman penulisan sokuon pada kosakata gairaigo, khususnya gairaigo yang diambil dari bahasa Inggris. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejauh mana tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa dan faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan terjadinya kesulitan dalam penulisan sokuon pada kosakata gairaigo yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa tingkat I, II dan III JPBJ FPBS UPI. Penelitian ini hanya ingin meneliti tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa tingkat I, II dan III Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang FPBS UPI tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Untuk memperoleh data, instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes objektif dan angket. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester tingkat I, II dan III Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang FPBS UPI yang berjumlah 30 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa tingkat I, II dan III Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang FPBS UPI tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dikategorikan pada tingkat sangat buruk dengan persentase 32,25%. Sesuai teori yang dikemukakan oleh Suhendra (1998, hlm. 51) “...bahasa Jepang pemilihan segmen suku kata tampak lebih transparan, tetapi bagi bahasa-bahasa yang menggunakan sistem alfabet pemenggalan suku kata sering menjadi masalah.” Dilihat dari teori segmen suku kata tersebut mempengaruhi perubahan bunyi dari bahasa Inggris ke dalam bahasa Jepang. Sehingga dengan peraturan-peraturan penulisan kosakata gairaigo yang ada mahasiswa banyak mengalami kesulitan dalam pelafalannya oleh karena itu berpengaruh pada terjadinya kesalahan dalam penulisannya. Faktor-faktor yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya kesulitan dalam penulisan sokuon pada kosakata gairaigo yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa tingkat I, II dan III JPBJ FPBS UPI adalah 1) pelafalan yang belum benar, 2) dipengaruhi oleh bahasa ibu, 3) dipengaruhi oleh bahasa serapan itu sendiri, serta didukung oleh data angket yg telah terkumpul bahwa responden tidak mengatahui kosakata gairaigo, tidak mengetahui aturan penulisan kosakata gairaigo dan tidak mengetahui pelafalan kosakata bahasa Inggris yang tepat sehingga terjadi kesalahan pada penulisan kosakata gairaigo. This study only want to examine the level of student comprehension levels I, II and III of the Department of Japanese Language Education 2013/2014 school year FPBS UPI. The method used in this research is descriptive method. To obtain the data, the instrument used in the form of objective tests and questionnaires. The sample of this study is the semester students level I, II and III of the Department of Japanese Language Education FPBS UPI totaling 30 people. Based on the results of this research is that the level of student comprehension levels I, II and III of the Department of Japanese Language Education FPBS UPI 2013/2014 zoned school year at a rate very poorly with the percentage of 32.25%. According to the theory proposed by Suhendra (1998, p. 51) "... the selection of Japanese syllable segments appear more transparent, but for languages that use an alphabet system beheading syllables often becomes a problem." Judging from the theory of syllable segments affect the sound changes from English into Japanese. So with the rules of writing vocabulary gairaigo there are many students have difficulty in pronunciation therefore affect the occurrence of errors in writing. The factors that cause the difficulties in writing the vocabulary gairaigo sokuon performed by student level I, II and III JPBJ FPBS UPI is 1) pronunciation is not correct, 2) is influenced by the mother tongue, 3) is influenced by the language itself uptake , and supported by questionnaire data that has been collected that the respondents did not know the vocabulary gairaigo, do not know the rules of writing gairaigo vocabulary and pronunciation vocabulary does not know proper English so that an error occurred in vocabulary writing gairaigo.
