Abstract
Dewasa ini banyak ditemukan fenomena yang menunjukkan adanya degradasi karakter siswa sekolah dasar (SD). Dalam suatu hasil data penelitian ditemukan bahwa siswa masih sering berbohong, mencontek, berkata kasar, tidak sopan terhadap yang lebih tua, tidak disiplin aturan, bahkan hingga melakukan perundungan dan kekerasan. Hal ini menyebabkan betapa pentingnya pendidikan karakter di SD untuk menguatkan karakter siswa. SD Daarut Tauhiid Bandung diketahui memiliki ciri khas dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter untuk siswa yaitu melalui kurikulum pendidikan karakter BAKU yang merupakan kependekan dari “Baik dan Kuat”, yang istilahnya dimunculkan oleh K. H. Abdullah Gymnastiar sebagai pendiri yayasan Daarut Tauhiid. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana perencanaan, proses implementasi, dan juga hasil implementasi pendidikan karakter BAKU. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan proses analisis mulai dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Perencanaan implementasi karakter BAKU secara tertulis dimuat dalam kurikulum dan perencanaan pembelajaran seperti modul dan RPP, dan secara tidak tertulis berupa pembekalan guru agar dapat menjadi teladan bagi siswa, (2) Proses implementasi karakter BAKU diintegrasikan ke dalam lingkungan belajar di sekolah, dengan guru yang selalu berupaya untuk selalu mengingatkan siswa, memberikan teladan, dan juga berkoordinasi dengan orang tua siswa, (3) Hasil implementasi karakter BAKU terlihat dari munculnya karakter siswa dari segi ikhlas, jujur, tawadhu, berani, disipin, dan tangguh yang terlihat di lingkungan sekolah, dan juga testimoni orang tua siswa yang menunjukkan hal serupa. Nowadays, there are many phenomenon that shows the degradation of the character of elementary school students. In a result of research data found that students still often lie, cheat, speak harshly, are disrespectful to elders, are not disciplined by the rules, even to bullying and violence. This causes the importance of character education in elementary school to strengthen students' character. SD Daarut Tauhiid Bandung is known to have a distinctive feature in implementing character education for students through the BAKU character education curriculum which stands for "Baik and Kuat", whose term was raised by K. H. Abdullah Gymnastiar as the founder of the Daarut Tauhiid foundation. The purpose of this research is to describe how the planning, implementation process, and also the results of the implementation of BAKU character education. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews, and documentation studies, then continued with the analysis process starting from data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that: (1) Planning for the implementation of BAKU characters in writing is contained in the curriculum and learning plans such as modules and lesson plan, and unwritten in the form of teacher debriefing so that they can be role models for students, (2) The process of implementing BAKU character is integrated into the learning environment at school, with teachers always trying to remind students, provide examples, and also coordinate with parents, (3) The results of the implementation of BAKU character can be seen from the emergence of student characters in terms of sincerity, honesty, tawadhu, courage, discipline, and resilience seen in the school environment, as well as testimonials from parents of students who show the same thing.
