Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini diawali adanya penerapan metode yang kurang tepat dalam pembelajaran membaca pada siswa. Peneliti akan menguji efektif atau tidak jika metode Sel Belajar diterapkan dalam pembelajaran membaca intensif teks prosedur kompleks. Penelitian dilakukan pada kelas X SMAN 24 Bandung dengan sampel penelitian kelas X MIA 6 dan X MIA 7. Metode penelitian yang peneliti gunakan yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian control group pretest-postest. Pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan rumusan masalah penelitian yaitu (1) adanya peningkatan rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen dari 55 menjadi 78,66; (2) adanya peningkatan rata-rata nilai kelas kontrol dari 59,83 menjadi 67,66; dan (3) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan membaca intensif teks prosedur kompleks pada kelas eksperimen setelah menggunakan metode Sel Belajar dengan kelas kontrol yang tidak menggunakan metode Sel Belajar. Hasil dari hipotesis pun membuktikan adanya perbedaan kemampuan membaca intensif teks prosedur kompleks yang signifikan antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan metode Sel Belajar dengan pembelajaran yang tidak menggunakan metode Sel Belajar.

The results based on the formulation of research problems, namely (1) an increase in the average value of the experimental class of 55 to 78,66; (2) an increase in the average value of the control class becomes 67,66 to 59,83; and (3) there are significant differences in the ability of intensive reading text on a complex procedure using the experimental class after class Learning with control cells that do not use the Learning Cell method. The results of the hypothesis was to prove the difference in the ability to read text intensive complex procedure significantly between Learning Cell method with learning methods that do not use Cell Learning.
