Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian berjudul “Kontribusi Self-efficacy terhadap Perencanaan Karir Peserta Didik” dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena yang berkembang dikalangan peserta didik SMA terkait dengan kurangnya kemampuan peserta didik dalam perencanaan masa depan yang matang yang disebabkan oleh ketidakyakinan akan kemampuan diri. Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan kontribusi self-efficacy terhadap perencanaan karir peserta didik. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode desktriptif analitik. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 19 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014 sebanyak 286 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner/angket self-efficacy dan perencanaan karir peserta didik SMA. Penelitian ini menghasilkan profil self-efficacy peserta didik secara umum berada pada kategori tinggi; profil perencanaan karir peserta didik berada pada kategori mampu; dan self-efficacy memiliki kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap perencanaan karir peserta didik. Rekomendasi diberikan kepada guru bimbingan dan konseling hendaknya membuat program khusus yang berkaitan dengan upaya pengembangan self-efficacy untuk meningkatkan kemampuan perencanaan karir peserta didik dengan memperhatikan aspek yang terkandung didalamnya; dan peneliti selanjutnya memfokuskan penelitian kepada satu pengembangan instrumen, misalnya pengembangan instrumen perencanaan karir yang diadopsi dari salah satu teori-teori perencanaan karir berdasarkan para ahli. Kata kunci : karir, perencanaan karir, peserta didik SMA, dan self-efficacy   ABSTRACT The study entitled “The Contribution of Self-efficacy toward Students’ Career Planning” motivated by a growing phenomenon among high school students associated with the lack of ability of the students in a mature planning of the future due to self-efficacy. The aim of the study is to describe the contribution of self-efficacy toward students’ career planning. The study used quantitative approach by using analysis descriptive method. Population in this study were class 10 students of SMA Negeri 19 Bandung during 2013/2014 academic years as many as 286 students. The instruments used in this study are questionnaire of self-efficacy and senior high school students’ career planning. The results of the study showed that self-efficacy profile of students is generally on high category; profile of students’ career planning is generally on the mature category; and self-efficacy have significant contribution toward students’ career planning. This study recommends the counselor to make special program relating to self-efficacy development for increasing capabilities of students’ career planning by concerning the aspect in it; and further researches have to focus their studies on one instrument development for example development of career planning instrument which is adopted from one of career planning theories regarding to the experts.
