    Abstract

    Penelitian dilakukan di TK Raihan Purwakarta khusus kelompok B yang berjumlah 13 siswa. Tujuannya adalah untuk menilai bagaimana kegiatan memasak yang menyenangkan dapat memfasilitasi pengenalan konsep penjumlahan untuk mendorong perkembangan kognitif pada anak kecil. Penelitian ini didorong oleh pentingnya perkembangan kognitif pada anak usia dini dan pengaruh aktivitas yang menarik dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pra-eksperimental, yang menampilkan struktur satu kelompok pretest-posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum intervensi, ketiga belas peserta diklasifikasikan dalam kategori “cukup” berdasarkan keterampilan penjumlahan mereka. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan rata-rata skor pretest sebesar 24,00 dan rata-rata skor posttest sebesar 39,85. Analisis uji-t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 kurang dari 0,05 sehingga hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kegiatan memasak yang menyenangkan secara efektif meningkatkan keterampilan penambahan anak-anak, mendukung gagasan bahwa kegiatan tersebut berdampak positif terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini.

    The research was conducted at TK Raihan Purwakarta, specifically with Group B, which consisted of 13 students. The objective was to assess how fun cooking activities could facilitate the introduction of addition concepts to promote cognitive development in young children. This study was driven by the significance of cognitive development in early childhood and the influence that engaging activities have on promoting this growth. The research utilized a pre-experimental design, featuring a one-group pretest-posttest structure. Results indicated that prior to the intervention, all 13 participants were classified in the "fair" category based on their addition skills. Data collection was conducted using observation and documentation methods. The analysis revealed an average pretest score of 24.00 and an average posttest score of 39.85. A t-test analysis indicated a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, resulting in the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0). Therefore, the study concluded that fun cooking activities effectively enhanced children's addition skills, supporting the idea that such activities positively impact early childhood cognitive development..
