Abstract
Pendidikan abad 21 menuntut siswa untuk mampu berpikir tingkat tinggi dalam pemecahan masalah. Salah satu kemampuan yang dibutuhkan untuk menghadapi tantangan tersebut adalah critical thinking skills. Berdasarkan hasil studi lapangan di kelas X-PPLG 2 SMK Negeri 4 Bandung, model pembelajaran yang digunakan belum berorientasi maksimal pada kemampuan berpikir kritis. Model pembelajaran seringkali hanya dengan pemberian tugas saja sehingga menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa menjadi kurang optimal terutama pada materi array elemen pemrograman terstruktur. Hal ini di buktikan dengan nilai pretest siswa memperoleh 48,75. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan penetapan metrics pembelajaran Discovery Learning dengan media learning management system sebagai solusi dalam meningkatkan proses berpikir kritis atas permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh siswa pada materi array pemrograman terstruktur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Smart Learning Environtment Establishment Guideline (SLEEG) dan desain penelitian menggunakan one-group-pretest-posttest. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan terdapat peningkatan yang dapat dilihat melalui rerata n-gain sebesar (0.6) dengan kriteria peningkatan “Sedang”. Penelitian ini pun berhasil membuktikan peningkatan n-gain setiap indikator critical thinking skills dengan skor interpretation (0,67), analysis (0,62), inference (0,61), evaluation (0,44), dan explanation (0,55). Tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran model discovery learning menunjukkan hasil yang positif dengan nilai persentase 73%. Adapun tanggapan terhadap penggunaan media menunjukkan hasil “Sangat Baik” dengan memperoleh persentase 85%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning dapat meningkatkan critical thinking skills siswa. 21st century education requires students to be able to think at a high level in problem solving. One of the abilities needed to face these challenges is critical thinking skills. Based on the results of field studies in class X-PPLG 2 SMK Negeri 4 Bandung, the learning model used has not been maximally oriented towards critical thinking skills. The learning model is often only by giving assignments, causing student learning outcomes to be less than optimal, especially in structured programming element array material. This is evidenced by the students' pretest score of 48.75. This study aims to apply the determination of Discovery Learning learning metrics with learning management system media as a solution in improving the critical thinking process of the problems faced by students on structured programming array material. This study used the Smart Learning Environment Establishment Guideline (SLEEG) method and the research design used one-group-pretest-posttest. The results of this study prove that there is an increase that can be seen through the average n-gain of (0.6) with “Medium” improvement criteria. This study also succeeded in proving the increase in n-gain for each critical thinking skills indicator with a score of interpretation (0.67), analysis (0.62), inference (0.61), evaluation (0.44), and explanation (0.55). Students' responses to the discovery learning model showed positive results with a percentage value of 73%. It can be concluded that the application of the discovery learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills.
