Abstract

Keterampilan berbahasa mencakup empat aspek yakni: 1) keterampilan menyimak, 2) keterampilan berbicara, 3) keterampilan membaca, dan 4) keterampilan menulis. Keterampilan menulis merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang sangat penting dan paling sulit dari keempat keterampilan tersebut. Keterampilan menulis tidak bisa didapatkan dengan spontan, namun dibutuhkan proses pembelajaran dan latihan yang intensif. Sehingga, guru dituntut untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan minat siswa dalam menulis. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode quantum writing pada keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Langsa, Kota Langsa, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan kondisi siswa dan guru dilapangan bahwa belum dilakukan pembelajaran pada keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi dengan menggunakan metode quantum writing, selain itu merujuk pada penelitian terdahulu belum ditemukannya penelitian mengenai penggunaan metode quantum writing khususnya dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi dengan sistem PAKH. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pra-eksperimental dengan desain one group pretest posttest. Teknik sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yakni sampel jenuh yang berjumlah 22 orang siswa. Sedangkan, Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial yang mencakup uji normalitas dan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa kedua data memperoleh nilai signifikansi >0,05 sehingga dianggap berdistribusi normal. Sementara itu, hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Maka, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata antara pretest dan posttest. Artinya metode quantum writing berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Langsa. Language skills include four aspects, namely: 1) listening skills, 2) speaking skills, 3) reading skills, and 4) writing skills. Writing skills are one of the most important and most difficult skills of the four skills. Writing skills cannot be acquired spontaneously, but require an intensive learning and practice process. Thus, educators are required to create learning that can increase students' motivation and interest in writing. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the quantum writing method on the descriptive text writing skills of class V students at SD Negeri 1 Langsa, Langsa City, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. This research is motivated by the condition of students and teachers in the field that learning has not been carried out on the skills of writing descriptive texts using the quantum writing method. Apart from that, referring to previous research, there has been no research regarding the use of the quantum writing method, especially in learning to write descriptive texts using the PAKH system. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method with a one group pretest posttest design. The sampling technique used in this research was a saturated sample of 22 students. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and inferential analysis which includes normality tests and paired sample t-tests. The results of the normality test showed that both data obtained a significance value of >0.05 so they were considered to have a normal distribution. Meanwhile, the results of the paired sample t-test show that the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected and Hi is accepted. So, it can be concluded that there is an average difference between the pretest and posttest. This means that the quantum writing method influences the descriptive text writing skills of class V students at SD Negeri 1 Langsa.
