Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SD pada mata pelajaran IPA. Salah satu usaha yang dapat dilakukan yaitu pembelajaran dengan model (PBL) berbantuan komik digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganlisis pengaruh model PBL berbantuan komik digital terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa serta untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan model PBL berbantuan komik digital dan siswa yang mendapat model pembelajaran konvensional. Jenis penelitian digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa sekolah dasar kelas V di SDN 1 Hegarmanah yang berjumlah 50 siswa dengan kelas VA dan VB masing-masing 25 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal uraian pretest dan posttest dengan menggunakan 9 sub indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial diperoleh hasil terdapat pengaruh positif dari penerapan model (PBL) berbantuan komik digital terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebesar 83,5%. Sehingga terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. ----- This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of elementary school students in science subjects. One of the efforts that can be done is learning with a model (PBL) assisted by digital comics. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of PBL model assisted by digital comics on students' critical thinking skills and to determine and analyze the improvement of critical thinking skills of students who get learning with PBL model assisted by digital comics and students who get conventional learning model. The type of research used is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample of this study was fifth grade elementary school students at SDN 1 Hegarmanah totaling 50 students with VA and VB classes of 25 students each. The instruments used were pretest and posttest description questions using 9 sub-indicators of critical thinking skills. Based on descriptive analysis and inferential analysis, it was found that there was a positive effect of the application of the (PBL) model assisted by digital comics on students' critical thinking skills by 83.5%. So that there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills.
