Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini permasalahan pembelajaran IPS mengenai guru mengajar masih menggunakan metode konvensional, kurang inovatif dan kreatif, siswa cenderung pasif, merasa jenuh dan bosan, kurang percaya diri dan tidak memperhatikan penjelasan guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis peningkatan pemahaman konsep IPS siswa sekolah dasar yang mendapatkan penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbantuan media Mind Mapping dalam pembelajaran lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mendapatkan penerapan pendekatan konvensional serta untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbantuan media Mind Mapping terhadap pemahaman konsep IPS siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperiment dengan design non-equivalent control group dan teknik purposive sampling. Terdapat dua data yang dikumpulkan dan dianalisis yaitu Pretest dan Posttest serta non test yaitu dokumentasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada variabel berpikir kreatif berupa tes essay. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji prasyarat menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Tahap selanjutnya melakukan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji Paired sample t-test dan Independent sample t-test. Hasil akhir penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan dan pengaruh pemahaman konsep IPS dengan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbantuan media Mind Mapping lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional. ----- In this study, the problem of learning social studies about teaching teachers still uses conventional methods, less innovative and creative, students tend to be passive, feel bored and bored, lack confidence and do not pay attention to the teacher's explanation. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the increase in understanding of social studies concepts of elementary school students who get the application of Project Based Learning learning model assisted by Mind Mapping media in learning better than students who get the application of conventional approaches and to determine and analyze the effect of Project Based Learning model assisted by Mind Mapping media on understanding the concept of social studies students. The research method used is quasi-experiment with non-equivalent control group design and purposive sampling technique. There are two data collected and analyzed, namely Pretest and Posttest and non-test, namely documentation. Data collection techniques used on creative thinking variables in the form of essay tests. The data collected is then followed by a prerequisite test using the normality test and homogeneity test. The next stage conducts hypothesis testing using paired sample t-test and Independent sample t-test. The final results showed that the increase and influence of understanding the concept of social studies with Project Based Learning learning model assisted by Mind Mapping media is better than conventional learning.
