Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar berdasarkan data PISA 2022. Maka, untuk mengatasi rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains, diperlukan model dan media ajar yang tepat di sekolah, salah satunya dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan Save Our Earth Game. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan peningkatan penerapan model PBL berbantuan Save Our Earth Game terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen dengan satu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan PBL berbantuan Save Our Earth Game dan satu kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 20 siswa di kelas eksperimen dan 20 siswa di kelas kontrol. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL berbantuan Save Our Earth Game memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap literasi sains sebesar 60,2% dan lebih efektif dibandingkan pendekatan saintifik. Oleh karena itu, model PBL dengan bantuan Save Our Earth Game direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif yang baik untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. ----- This research was motivated by the low scientific literacy of elementary school students, as indicated by PISA 2022 data. To address this issue, effective teaching models and media are needed, such as the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model aided by the Save Our Earth Game. The aim of this research is to assess the impact and improvement of the PBL model with the Save Our Earth Game on students' scientific literacy. The study employed a quasi-experimental design, with one experimental group using the PBL model aided by the Save Our Earth Game and one control group using a scientific approach. The sample consisted of 20 students in each group. Results indicate that the PBL model aided by the Save Our Earth Game positively influences scientific literacy by 60.2% and is more effective than the scientific approach. Therefore, the PBL model with the Save Our Earth Game is recommended as a valuable alternative for enhancing students' scientific literacy.
