Abstract
Dalam proses pendidikan, hasil belajar memiliki peranan yang penting. Hasil belajar dikatakan baik apabila diperoleh dari kegiatan pembelajaran yang berkualitas. Proses pembelajaran yang demikian diharapkan terjadi pada pembelajaran IPA, karena IPA memegang peranan penting dalam kehidupan. Akan tetapi, pada kenyataannya masih terdapat sekolah dengan hasil belajar IPA yang rendah. Rendahnya hasil belajar IPA siswa tersebut menjadi dasar pada penelitian ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan saintifik berbantuan media roda berputar terhadap hasil belajar kognitif IPA siswa dan untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik berbatuan media roda berputar lebih baik daripada yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model project based learning. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Wanajaya 04 dengan sampel sebanyak 64 siswa yang terdiri dari 32 siswa kelas V A dan 32 siswa kelas V B. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu non-equivalent control group design. Penelitian dilakukan kepada dua kelompok kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan pedekatan saintifik berbantuan media roda berputar lebih baik secara signifikan dilihat dari perbedaan hasil belajar siswa antara kelas eksperimen sebesar 71,25% dan kelas kontrol sebesar 60,91%. Maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pendekatan saintifik berbantuan media roda berputar terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa. ----- In the education process, learning outcomes play an important role. Learning outcomes are said to be good if obtained from quality learning activities. Such a learning process is expected to occur in science learning, because science plays an important role in life. However, in reality there are still schools with low science learning outcomes. The low science learning outcomes of these students are the basis for this study. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a scientific approach assisted by rotating wheel media on students' science cognitive learning outcomes and to determine whether the learning outcomes of students who get learning with a scientific approach with rotating wheel media are better than those who get learning with a project-based learning model. This research was conducted at SDN Wanajaya 04 with a sample of 64 students consisting of 32 students of class V A and 32 students of class V B. The type of research used in this study is quasi experiment and uses quantitative research methods. The design used in this research is non-equivalent control group design. The research was conducted on two class groups, namely the experimental class and the control class. The results of this study obtained student learning outcomes using a scientific approach assisted by rotating wheel media were significantly better as seen from the difference in student learning outcomes between the experimental class of 71.25% and the control class of 60.91%. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the scientific approach assisted by rotating wheel media on students' cognitive learning outcomes.
