Abstract
Penelitian ini didasari oleh hasil pengamatan dan observasi yang sudah dilakukan. Dari
pengamatan dan observasi yang dilakukan, diketahui bahwa masih ada pemelajar yang sulit
dalam berbicara. Faktor pertama yang memengaruhi hal tersebut adalah pemelajar yang
cenderung pasif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, dan faktor kedua yang memengaruhi hal
tersebut adalah pemelajar masih sering menggunakan bahasa Inggris walaupun sudah
berada di tingkat 2. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan tingkat keterampilan
berbicara pemelajar BIPA tingkat 2 dan mendeskrispikan pengaruh model pembelajaran
kontekstual dengan berbantuan media kartu Deep Talk dalam meningkatkan keterampilan
berbicara pemelajar BIPA 2 di Balai Bahasa UPI. Media ini digunakan sebagai satu di
antara alat untuk memberi stimulus kepada pemelajar yang cenderung pasif di dalam
kegiatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian SSR (single subject
research/penelitian subjek tunggal) dengan model reversal jenis A-B-A. Penelitian
dilakukan sebanyak delapan sesi. Pada fase baseline (A1) dilaksanakan selama 2 sesi, pada
fase intervensi (b) dilaksanakan selama 4 sesi, dan pada fase intervensi (A2) dilaksanakan
selama 2 sesi. Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa model
pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan media kartu Deep Talk berpengaruh positif terhadap
keterampilan berbicara pemelajar BIPA 2 di Balai Bahasa UPI. Hal ini dilihat dari rata-rata
nilai pemelajar pada setiap fase selalu meningkat. Selain itu, hasil persentase overlap data
menunjukkan angka 0% yang berarti perlakuan yang dilakukan menghasilkan hasil yang
baik.
This research is based on the results of observations and observations that have been made.
From the observation, it is known that there are still learners who have difficulty in
speaking. The first factor that affects this is the learners who tend to be passive in learning
activities, and the second factor that affects this is the learners still often use English even
though they are already at level 2. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of
speaking skills of BIPA level 2 learners and to describe the effect of contextual learning
model with the help of Deep Talk card media in improving the speaking skills of BIPA 2
learners at UPI Language Center. This media is used as one of the tools to provide stimulus
to learners who tend to be passive in learning activities. This study used SSR (single subject
research) research method with A-B-A type reversal model. The research was conducted
for eight sessions. The baseline phase (A1) was conducted for 2 ssessions, the intervention
phase (b) was conducted for 4 sessions, and the intervention phase (A2) was conducted for
2 sessions. Based on the research that has been conducted, it is found that the contextual
learning model assisted by Deep Talk card media has a positive effect on the speaking skills
of BIPA 2 learners at the UPI Language Center. It is seen from the average score of the
learners in each phase always increases. In addition, the percentage of data overlap shows
0% which means that the treatment produced good results.
