Abstract
ABSTRAK NADA DHIYA ULHAQ (2024) MODEL DEEP DIALOGUE CRITICAL THINKING MELALUI TIKTOK BERMUATAN KEARIFAN LOKAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA PEMELAJAR BIPA ARAS MADYA Penelitian dilatarbelakangi kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara pemelajar BIPA aras madya dengan mengintegrasikan pendekatan kreatif dan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap dan menjabarkan hubungan model deep dialogue critical thinking dengan pengajaran keterampilan berbicara pemelajar BIPA aras madya menggunakan TikTok bermuatan kearifan lokal sebagai media. Tujuan penelitian tidak hanya tertuju pada daya pikir kritis pemelajar BIPA, tetapi juga fokus pada tanggapan, respon, dan persepsi mereka terhadap kearifan lokal atau budaya Indonesia yang disajikan melalui media TikTok. Teori berpikir kritis, kearifan lokal, serta model pengembangan sensitivitas antarbudaya menjadi dasar konseptual penelitian ini. Penelitian menerapkan metode kuantitatif yaitu penelitian subjek tunggal. Pemilihan subjek penelitian dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian terpilih yaitu dua pemelajar BIPA 4 di Balai Bahasa UPI dari negara berbeda. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa intervensi berbasis model deep dialogue critical thinking melalui TikTok bermuatan kearifan lokal memberikan kontribusi positif dan signifikan terhadap pengajaran keterampilan berbicara pemelajar BIPA aras madya. Dalam kondisi normal, pemelajar menunjukkan perkembangan yang terbatas, tetapi selama intervensi, terlihat peningkatan yang konsisten dalam kemampuan berbicara. Temuan ini mendukung gagasan bahwa penggunaan media sosial, seperti TikTok, yang menggabungkan aspek kritis berpikir dan muatan kearifan lokal, dapat menjadi strategi inovatif dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran bahasa kedua atau asing, khususnya dalam konteks pengajaran BIPA. Implikasinya dapat memperkaya pendekatan pembelajaran untuk memajukan keterampilan berbicara pemelajar BIPA pada tingkat aras madya. ABSTRACT NADA DHIYA ULHAQ (2024) MODEL DEEP DIALOGUE CRITICAL THINKING MELALUI TIKTOK BERMUATAN KEARIFAN LOKAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA PEMELAJAR BIPA ARAS MADYA The research was motivated by the need to improve the speaking skills of middle level BIPA students by integrating creative and technological approaches. This research aims to reveal and explain the relationship between the deep dialogue critical thinking model and teaching speaking skills to middle level BIPA students using TikTok containing local wisdom as a medium. The research objective is not only focused on the critical thinking power of BIPA students, but also focuses on their responses, responses and perceptions of local wisdom or Indonesian culture presented through TikTok media. Critical thinking theory, local wisdom, and models for developing intercultural sensitivity are the conceptual basis for this research. The research applies quantitative methods, namely single subject research. The selection of research subjects was carried out using the purposive sampling method. The selected research subjects were two BIPA 4 students at the UPI Language Center from different countries. The results show that the intervention based on the deep dialogue critical thinking model through TikTok containing local wisdom makes a positive and significant contribution to teaching speaking skills to middle level BIPA students. Under normal conditions, students show limited progress, but during intervention, consistent improvements in speaking ability are seen. These findings support the idea that the use of social media, such as TikTok, which combines critical thinking aspects and local wisdom content, can be an innovative strategy in increasing the effectiveness of second or foreign language learning, especially in the context of BIPA teaching. The implications can enrich learning approaches to advance the speaking skills of BIPA students at the intermediate level.
