Abstract

Mata Kuliah Umum Pendidikan Pancasila selama ini sering dianggap membosankan, monoton, dan tidak menarik. Blended Learning (BL) merupakan suatu model pembelajaran yang memadukan pembelajaran tatap muka di dalam kelas (synchromous) dengan pembelajaran online yang menggunakan teknologi informasi (asynchronous) dapat menjadi salah satu solusi untuk mengatasinya. Pembelajaran tidak lagi terikat oleh ruang dan waktu, fleksibel serta student centered. Rumusan masalah yang diteliti adalah bagaimana penggunaan model blended learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa? Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh gambaran pelaksanaan model blended learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa melalui Mata Kuliah Pendidikan Pancasila di UPI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Metode campuran (mixed method) yang menggabungkan baik penelitian kualitatif maupun kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan model blended learning pada MKU Pendidikan Pancasila dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Penggunaan model blended learning di UPI terbagi dalam tiga fase yaitu fase sebelum, selama dan sesudah COVID 19. Keterampilan berpikir kritis pada mahasiswa menunjukan angka yang tinggi. Terdapat faktor prediktor yang mempengaruhi penggunaan model blended learning dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa melalui mata kuliah umum Pendidikan Pancasila yaitu indeks prestasi kumulatif (IPK) dan kemudahan akses internet. Penelitian ini menemukan beberapa faktor pendukung dan penghambat. Faktor pendukung yaitu (1) kejelasan pemahaman materi oleh mahasiswa, (2) ketersediaan bahan materi online (online resource) di LMS, (3) keaktifan dan partisipasi mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran, (4) belajar mandiri, (5) ketepatan sistem eveluasi, dan (6) umpan balik oleh dosen. Sedangkan faktor penghambat yaitu: (1) personal, (2) cyberslaking/cyberloafing, (3) kondisi sosio kultural, (4) internet, (5) cara mengajar dosen, (6) interaksi dalam proses pemebalajarn, dan (6) masalah teknis. Blended Learning (BL) is a learning model that combines face-to-face learning in traditional classrooms (synchronous) with online learning using information technology (asynchronous). This research aims to identify the influence caused using the blended learning model to develop students' thinking abilities through the general Pancasila Education course. Learning is no longer bound by time and space, is flexible and directs student-centered learning activities. The transformative environment contained in this blended learning model can provide opportunities to help students achieve skills such as critical, creative, and complex thinking. These skills are competencies that students must have in this digital era. Critical thinking skills themselves are one of the learning outcomes to be achieved in the general Pancasila Education course. Based on this explanation, researchers are curious to investigate the use of the blended learning model in developing students' critical thinking skills through the general Pancasila Education course at the Indonesian Education University (UPI). The research method used was a mixed method which combines both qualitative and quantitative data. Combining this data will become one large database and the results obtained will be used side by side to strengthen each other. The research results show that the use of the blended learning model at UPI is divided into three phases: before, during and after COVID 19. The use of blended learning model has proceeded in accordance with the learning syntax. Critical thinking skills in students also showed high numbers. The predictor factors that influence the use of the blended learning model in developing students' critical thinking skills through the general Pancasila Education course are the cumulative achievement index (GPA) and ease of internet access, while gender does not show significant results. In addition, this research also found that there are several supporting and inhibiting factors for using the blended learning model in developing students' critical thinking skills through the general Pancasila Education course.
