Abstract
Legenda “Asal-Usul Batu Kuda” merupakan salah satu cerita rakyat yang berasal dari Kabupaten Bandung. Cerita ini termasuk kepada legenda setempat karena terdapat keterkaitan dengan penamaan tempat dimana batu kuda ini berada. Legenda Batu Kuda menjadi menarik untuk dijadikan ide pematik sebuah karya karena mengangkat cerita salah satu hewan mitologi sunda, yaitu Kuda Sembrani. Legenda Batu Kuda dialihwahanakan menjadi sebuah buku cerita bergambar dengan metode penelitian berbasis seni. Desain penelitian menggunakan dua sub desain seni. Tahap pertama dilakukan proses penelitian tentang seni lalu dilanjutkan dengan konsep seni dalam penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam riset ini yaitu menggunakan wawancara dengan metode tradisi lisan. Penilaian kualitas buku cerita bergambar ini akan dilakukan oleh dosen bahasa dan sastra, guru kelas pada fase B jenjang baca B2, dan ahli dalam bidang kegrafikaan. Hasil penilaian kesesuaian materi/isi mendaptkan kriteria persentase kelayakan 83% dan kategori penilaian “Sangat Layak”, aspek kebahasaan dengan nilai persentase kelayakan sebesar 70% dengan kategori penilaian “Layak”, dan aspek kegrafikaan dengan kriteria persentase kelayakan sebesar 95% dan kategori penilaian “Sangat Layak”. Oleh karena itu, dapat dikatakan bahwa alih wahana legenda batu kuda menjadi buku cerita bergambar layak untuk dijadikan bahan pengayaan siswa SD dan dapat digunakan sebagai media gerakan literasi sekolah. The legend of "The Origin of Batu Kuda" is one of the folktales originating from Bandung Regency. This story is included in the local legend because there is a connection with the naming of the place where the horse stone is located. The legend of Batu Kuda is interesting to be used as an idea for a work because it tells the story of one of the Sundanese mythological animals, the Sembrani Horse. The legend of Batu Kuda is transformed into an illustrated storybook with an art-based research method. The research design used two art sub-designs. The first stage was the research process on art and then continued with the concept of art in the research. The data collection technique used in this research is using interviews with the oral tradition method. The quality assessment of this picture storybook will be conducted by language and literature lecturers, classroom teachers in phase B of B2 reading level, and experts in the field of graphics. The results of the assessment of the suitability of the material/content received a percentage eligibility criterion of 83% and an assessment category of "Very Feasible", the linguistic aspect with a percentage eligibility value of 70% with an assessment category of "Feasible", and the graphic aspect with a percentage eligibility criterion of 95% and an assessment category of "Very Feasible". Therefore, it can be said that the transfer of the legend of the stone horse into an illustrated storybook is suitable to be used as enrichment material for elementary school students and can be used as a medium for the school literacy movement.
