Abstract

ABSTRAK Berdasarkan laporan UNESCO 2023 bahwa Indonesia memiliki kekurangan guru berkualitas dengan perkiraan yang dibutuhkan 1,2 juta guru untuk memenuhi tujuan pendidikan Indonesia. Salah satu upaya yang harus dilakukan untuk memperbaiki kualitas guru adalah dengan meningkatkan kompetensi profesionalisme yaitu kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, dan profesional. Kebijakan kurikulum merdeka belajar menuntut guru IPS harus memiliki kesiapan dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan melakukan transformasi di berbagai sisi pembelajaran dan memenuhi tuntutan masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan di sekolah yaitu SMP Negeri 7, 12, dan 19 Kota Badung, diketahui bahwa guru IPS memiliki permasalahan dalam menguasai kompetensi guru. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan guru IPS berdasarkan kompetensi yang dimiliki dan sebagai evaluasi guru IPS untuk memenuhi kebutuhan belajar peserta didik sesuai kebijakan kurikulum merdeka belajar. Pendekatan yang digunakan merupakan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, dan profesional guru IPS di lokasi penelitian secara keseluruhan sangat baik. Guru IPS di masing-masing sekolah tersebut memiliki kelebihan dalam penggunaan media, model pembelajaran, pemanfaatan sumber belajar, dan pembelajaran terdiferensiasi. Guru IPS menunjukkan sikap etos kerja, tanggung jawab, dan bersikap sesuai kode etik yang ditunjukkan dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu, guru IPS bersikap inklusif, objektif, tidak diskriminasi, dan melaksanakan komunikasi dengan baik kepada peserta didik. Kompetensi profesional guru IPS tercermin dalam penyampaian materi IPS dengan sangat baik. Namun, guru IPS harus terus meningkatkan kompetensi yang dimiliki karena masih terdapat kekurangan dalam pembelajaran untuk memenuhi kebutuhan belajar peserta didik sesuai tuntutan kurikulum merdeka belajar. One of the efforts that must be made to improve teacher quality is to increase professional competence, namely pedagogical, personal, social and professional competence. The independent learning curriculum policy requires social studies teachers to be prepared to carry out learning by carrying out transformations in various aspects of learning and meeting the demands of society. Based on the results of observations made at schools, namely SMP Negeri 7, 12, and 19 Badung City, it is known that social studies teachers have problems in mastering teacher competencies. The aim of the research is to determine the learning carried out by social studies teachers based on their competencies and as an evaluation of social studies teachers to meet students' learning needs in accordance with the independent learning curriculum policy. The approach used is qualitative with descriptive methods. Data collection uses questionnaires, interviews, observations and documentation studies. The research results show that the pedagogical, personal, social and professional competencies of social studies teachers at the research location are overall very good. Social studies teachers in each of these schools have advantages in the use of media, learning models, use of learning resources, and differentiated learning. The social studies teacher shows a work ethic, responsibility, and behaves according to the code of ethics shown in the lesson. Apart from that, social studies teachers are inclusive, objective, non-discriminatory, and communicate well with students. The professional competence of social studies teachers is reflected in the delivery of social studies material very well. However, social studies teachers must continue to improve their competencies because there are still deficiencies in learning to meet students' learning needs according to the demands of the independent learning curriculum.
