Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian desain dan pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa e-book berorientasi multimodus representasi pada materi daur hidup hewan. Hal tersbut dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan representasi siswa. Rendahnya kemampuan representasi siswa disebabkan oleh kurangnya variasi media dengan kondisi ketergantungan akan buku teks dan belum adanya pembelajaran inovatif yang mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan media digital khususnya pada materi daur hidup hewan yang berdampak pada kesulitan siswa dalam memahami materi. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model Design and Development (D&D) tipe 1. Prosedur penelitian menggunakan alur Design and Development (D&D) tipe 1 meliputi tahap design and development, product evaluation, dan validation of tool or technique, dengan instrumen yang digunakan ialah pedoman wawancara, lembar angket validasi ahli, dan angket respon guru dan siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penilaian kelayakan e-book melibatkan 2 ahli materi, 2 ahli media, dan 2 ahli bahasa melalui uji validitas menggunakan Aiken’s V dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan Cronbach Alpha mendapatkan hasil sangat valid dan reliabel. Kemudian, hasil respon siswa dan juga guru menunjukkan bahwa e-book ini siap untuk dipakai dan memiliki kesesuain dengan pengguna. Oleh karena itu, berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-book berorientasi multimodus representasi pada materi daur hidup hewan sudah memenuhi kriteria layak untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dengan beberapa saran perbaikan dari validator ahli dan pengguna. ------------ This research is design and development research which aims to produce a product in the form of an e-book oriented towards multi-mode representation of animal life cycle material. This is motivated by the low representation ability of students. The low representation ability of students is caused by a lack of media variations with dependence on textbooks and the absence of innovative learning that optimizes the use of digital media, especially regarding animal life cycle material, which has an impact on students' difficulties in understanding the material. The research method uses development research with the Design and Development (D&D) type 1 model. The research procedure uses the Design and Development (D&D) type 1 flow including the design and development, product evaluation, and validation of tool or technique stages, with the instruments used being guidelines. interviews, expert validation questionnaire sheets, and teacher and student response questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results show that the e-book feasibility assessment involved 2 material experts, 2 media experts, and 2 language experts through a validity test using Aiken's V and a reliability test using Cronbach Alpha, obtaining very valid and reliable results. Then, the results of student and teacher responses show that this e-book is ready to be used and is suitable for users. Therefore, based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the multi-mode representation-oriented e-book on animal life cycles meets the criteria for being suitable for use in learning activities with several suggestions for improvement from expert validators and users.
