Abstract

Permasalahan penyalahgunaan narkoba pada remaja terus meningkat. Salah satu cara dalam menyampaikan pesan dampak buruk dari penyalaggunaan narkoba adalah dengan menggunakan perancangan komik. Komik sebagai media untuk menyampaikan informasi secara praktis dan menarik, sehingga pesan dari komik dapat tersampaikan dengan mudah dan dapat digunakan sebagai media edukasi bahaya penyalahgunaan narkoba pada remaja. Genre yang diaplikasikan adalah komik dengan genre thriller. Penentuan genre yang diaplikasikan pada komik digital berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari responden, karena komik dengan genre thriller lebih menekan pada kondisi psikis pembaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses perancangan komik digital dengan genre thriller untuk menyampaikan pesan dampak buruk penyalahgunaan narkoba dan mengetahui bagaimana respon terhadap penggambaran dampak penyalahgunaan narkoba melalui komik digital. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan Practice led research. Pengumpulkan data dilakukan dimulai dari wawancara, observasi, dan penyebaran kuesioner dengan sampel 20 orang remaja di Bandung Timur. Dari data yang diperoleh maka dilakukan proses perancangan komik digital dengan judul ‘Behind The Sun’. Perancangan komik menggunakan software Clip Studio Paint dengan menggunakan beberapa tools yang disesuaikan dengan gaya visual fine art yang telah ditetapkan sebagai tema visual. ‘Behind The Sun’ memiliki gambaran besar alur cerita tentang permasalahan penyalahgunaan narkoba serta efek samping dari penyalahgunaan narkoba. Komik yang berjumlah tiga episode diterbitkan pada Webtoon. Penerbitan komik memiliki tujuan untuk memudahkan akses pembaca. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan berupa komik digital dengan judul ‘Behind The Sun’ dan mendapat respon bahwa dampak penyalahgunaan narkoba dapat tergambarkan dengan jelas. --------------- The problem of drug abuse among teenagers continues to increase. One way to convey the bad effects of drug abuse is by using comic design. Comics as a medium to convey information practically and interestingly, so that the message from the comic can be conveyed easily and can be used as educational media on the dangers of drug abuse among teenagers. The applied genre is comics with the thriller genre. The determination of the genre applied to digital comics is based on data obtained from respondents, because comics with the thriller genre put more emphasis on the psychological condition of the reader. This study aims to find out how the process of designing digital comics with the thriller genre to convey the message of the adverse effects of drug abuse and find out how the response to the depiction of the effects of drug abuse through digital comics. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a Practice led research approach. To collect data, interview, observation and questionnaire distribution stages were carried out on 20 teenagers. From the data obtained, the process of designing digital comics with the title 'Behind The Sun' is carried out. Comic design uses Clip Studio Paint software using several tools tailored to the established visual style. 'Behind The Sun' has a broad outline of the story flow about the problem of drug abuse and the side effects of drug abuse. The comic, which consists of three episodes, was published on Webtoon. Comic publishing aims to facilitate reader access. The results of the study are digital comics with the title 'Behind The Sun' which get a response that the impact of drug abuse can be clearly described.
