Abstract
Dalam kurikulum 2013, siswa harus memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS). Salah satu faktor yang berkontribusi pada rendahnya kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) adalah model pembelajaran yang digunakan yang kurang variatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) siswa pada mata pelajaran geografi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimental design) dengan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Indikator Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) adalah menganalisis, mengevaluasi, menciptakan, penalaran dan pengambilan keputusan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang diambil dalam penelitian ini, yaitu tes dan lembar observasi. Hasil analisis data diperoleh dari uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon menunjukan bahwa hasil pre-test dan post-test dari kelas eksperimen, yaitu Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) bernilai 0,000 karena nilai 0,000 lebih kecil dari <0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terbukti ada pengaruh atau hipotesis diterima. Artinya ada perbedaan antara kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) untuk pre-test dan post-test. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. In the 2013 curriculum, students must have higher order thinking skills (HOTS). One of the factors that contribute to the low level of higher order thinking skills (HOTS) is the learning model used which is less varied. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in geography subject. This research used quasi-experimental design with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The variables in this research are Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The indicators of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) are analyzing, evaluating, creating, reasoning and decision making. The data collection techniques taken in this study were tests and observation sheets. The results of data analysis obtained from hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon test show that the pre-test and post-test results of the experimental class, namely Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 because the value of 0.000 is smaller than <0.05, it can be concluded that there is evidence of influence or the hypothesis is accepted. This means that there is a difference between the ability of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) for pre-test and post-test. Then it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.
