Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil kajian literatur dan fakta dilapangan mengenai kurangnya kemampuan membaca permulaan, untuk mengatasi hal tersebut diperlukan upaya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan. Salah satunya yaitu belajar membaca permulaan menggunakan Aplikasi Belajar Membaca. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh Aplikasi Belajar Membaca dengan pendekatan EMRED untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 2 SDN Batok Bali yang masih tergolong rendah. Untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara kemampuan siswa dalam membaca permulaan yang menggunakan Aplikasi Belajar Membaca dengan siswa yang hanya mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen non equivalent control group design tidak dipilih secara acak dengan memasukan siswa yang tidak bisa membaca. Populasi yang diambil yaitu siswa kelas 2 SDN Batok Bali, dengan sampel dua kelas yang berbeda disatu sekolah yang sama yaitu 10 siswa kelas 2A dan 10 siswa kelas 2B. Hasil analisis data pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen menunjukan adanya peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 2 SD dengan menggunakan Aplikasi Belajar Membaca dengan pendekatan EMRED. Nilai rerata hasil posttest di kelas kontrol sebesar 5,00 sedangkan di kelas eksperimen nilai rerata hasil posttest yaitu sebesar 6.20, selisih rerata kedua kelas tersebut 1,20. Hasil analisis data kedua kelas menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan. Sedangkan tindak lanjut menunjukan rata-rata presentase dari kelima indikator pendekatan EMRED sebesar 84%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Aplikasi Belajar Membaca dengan pendekatan EMRED berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan. To overcome this, efforts are needed to improve initial reading ability. One of them is learning to read first using the Learning to Read Application. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the Learning to Read Application using the EMRED approach to improve the initial reading ability of grade 2 students at SDN Batok Bali which is still relatively low. To find out the difference between the ability of students in beginning reading who use the Learning to Read Application and students who only receive conventional learning. This research used a quasi-experimental design, non-equivalent control group design, not randomly selected by including students who could not read. The population taken was class 2 students at SDN Batok Bali, with a sample of two different classes in the same school, namely 10 class 2A students and 10 class 2B students. The results of the pretest and posttest data analysis for the experimental class showed that there was an increase in the initial reading ability of grade 2 elementary school students using the Learning to Read Application with the EMRED approach. The average value of the posttest results in the control class was 5.00, while in the experimental class the average value of the posttest results was 6.20, the difference between the two classes' averages was 1.20. The results of data analysis for both classes show that there are differences. Meanwhile, follow-up showed that the average percentage of the five EMRED approach indicators was 84%. So it can be concluded that using the Learning to Read Application with the EMRED approach has an effect on improving initial reading skills.
