Abstract

Kemampuan literasi matematika di Indonesia masih rendah dan dibuktikan oleh berbagai jenis evaluasi maupun penilaian yang berstandar nasional, yaitu Indeks Alibaca Nasional. Etnomatematika memunculkan kearifan budaya sehingga mampu memotivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Dalam pembelajaran matematika, terdapat beberapa kemampuan yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa. Diantara kemampuan matematika tersebut adalah kemampuan literasi matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika sunda melalui permainan endog-endogan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematik siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan Quasi Experimental Design dengan bentuk Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Terdapat dua kelompok siswa yang menjadi objek penelitian; kelompok kontrol dengan pembelajaran ekspositori dan kelompok eksperimen dengan pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika. Adapun hasil analisis yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa dari kedua data berada dalam data yang berdistribusi normal dan homogen dengan uji-t pada data posttest menunjukan bahwa Ho ditolak sehingga menandakan terdapat perbedaan pada hasil siswa antara kedua kelompok. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan hasil Uji-t pada posttest yang menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,044 yang berarti bahwa nilai tersebut kurang dari 0,05 sehingga Ho ditolak, dengan arti bahwa terdapat perbedaan, dan dari uji N-Gain yang diperoleh hasil akhir kelompok eksperimen bernilai sedang dengan kriteria menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika cukup efektif diterapkan di sekolah dasar. Sebagian besar siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika. Ketertarikan yang diberikan siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika dengan adanya media pembelajaran yang menghubungkan materi pelajaran dengan budaya. The ability of mathematical literacy in Indonesia is still low and is proven by various types of evaluations and assessments with national standards, namely the National Alibaca Index. Ethnomathematics raises cultural wisdom so that it can motivate students in learning mathematics. In mathematics learning, there are several abilities that affect student achievement. Among these mathematical abilities is the ability to read mathematical literacy. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Sundanese ethnomathematics-based learning through endog-endogan games on improving the mathematical literacy ability of grade 5th elementary school students. Researchers conducted research with Quasi Experimental Design with a form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. There are two groups of students who are the object of research; Control group with expository learning and experimental group with ethnomathematics-based learning. The results of the analysis obtained showed that the two data were in normally distributed and homogeneous data with the t-test in the posttest data showing that Ho was rejected so that there was a difference in student outcomes between the two groups. This is shown by the results of the t-test on the posttest which produces a significance value of 0,044 which means that the value is less than 0,05 so Ho is rejected, with the meaning that there is a difference, and from the N-Gain test obtained the final results of the experimental group of medium value with criteria show that ethnomathematics-based learning is quite effective applied in elementary schools. Most students responded positively to ethnomathematics-based learning. The interest given by students to ethnomathematicsbased learning with the existence of learning media that connects subject matter with culture.
