Abstract

Pengalaman psikologis terkait dengan persepsi, perasaan, dan perilaku terhadap tubuh dikenal sebagai citra tubuh. Citra tubuh dapat dibagi menjadi dua kategori, yakni citra tubuh yang positif dan citra tubuh yang negatif. Penelitian ini muncul karena adanya fenomena evaluasi negatif dan ketidakpuasan terhadap tubuh. Sebagai tindakan kuratif, salah satu langkah yang dapat diambil adalah melalui penyelenggaraan konseling. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan dan menguji konseling kelompok berorientasi psikologi positif untuk mengembangkan citra tubuh peserta didik dengan citra tubuh negatif. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan ialah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen. Sampel terdiri dari 299 orang peserta didik kelas X SMK di Kota Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen kuantitatif berupa angket citra tubuh MBSRQAS dan angket pertanyaan terbuka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar peserta didik kelas X SMK di Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 memiliki citra tubuh positif. Berdasarkan pengumpulan data terdapat 7 orang peserta didik dengan citra tubuh negatif dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen. Sebanyak tujuh orang peserta didik diberikan perlakuan berupa konseling kelompok berorientasi psikologi positif sebanyak tujuh sesi. Konseling kelompok berbasis psikologi positif efektif untuk mengembangkan citra tubuh peserta didik SMKN 1 Bandung. Kata kunci: Citra Tubuh, Konseling Kelompok, Psikologi Positif Psychological experiences related to perceptions, feelings, and behaviors towards the body are known as body image. Body image can be divided into two categories, namely positive body image and negative body image. This research arises due to the phenomenon of negative evaluation and dissatisfaction with the body. As a curative measure, one of the steps that can be taken is through the provision of counseling. The research aims to implement and test positive psychology-oriented group counseling to develop the body image of learners with negative body image. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The sample consisted of 299 students of grade X SMK in Bandung for the 2023/2024 academic year. Data were collected using quantitative instruments in the form of MBSRQAS body image questionnaires and open-ended question questionnaires. The results showed that most of the grade X SMK students in Bandung for the 2023/2024 Academic Year have a positive body image. Based on data collection, there were seven students with negative body image divided into experimental groups. A total of seven students were given treatment in the form of positive psychology-oriented group counseling for seven sessions. Positive psychology-based group counseling is effective for developing the body image of SMKN 1 Bandung students. Keywords: Body Image, Group Counseling, Positive Psychology.
