Abstract

MasaIah kinerja karyawan masih menjadi perhatian penting daIa organisasi karena kinerja karyawan berpengaruh terhadap pencapaian tujuan suatu organisasi. PermasaIahan mengenai kinerja karyawan terjadi di berbagai perusahaan dan organisasi. Hal ini seperti terjadi pada PT. Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk Cabang Jambi yang di tandai dengan penurunan hasiL kerja karyawan, absensi, keterLambatan kerja pegawai dan jumLah pencapaian nasabah. Dibutuhkan suatu faktor yang dapat mempertahankan dan meningkatan kinerja karyawan agar tetap pada tingkat tinggi, saLah satunya dengan motivasi dan promosi jabatan. Tujuan peneLitian ini yaitu untuk: (1) mengetahui tingkat motivasi, (2) mengetahui peLaksanaan promosi jabatan, (3) mengetahui tingkat kinerja, (4) mengetahui pengaruh motivasi daLam meningkatkan kinerja, (5) mengetahui pengaruh promosi jabatan daLam meningkatkan kinerja, (6) mengetahui pengaruh motivasi dan promosi jabatan daLam meningkatkan kinerja. Adapun unit anaLisis daIam peneLitian ini adalah karyawan PT. Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk Cabang Jambi sebanyak 47 karyawan. metode yang digunakan adaLah expLanatory survey dengan teknik anaLisis data yang digunakan adaLah regresi Iiniear berganda dengan aLat bantu software komputer SPSS 25.0 for windows The background of this research is the Iow performance of empIoyees. This is indicated by the resuIts of research and data obtained from the Iast few years. EmpIoyee performance issues are stiII an important concern in organizations because empIoyee performance affects the achievement of organizationaI goaIs. EmpIoyee performance probIems occur in various companies and organizations. This is Iike what happened to PT. Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk Jambi Branch which is marked by a decrease in empIoyee work resuIts, attendance, empIoyee work deIays and the number of customer achievements. It takes a factor that can maintain and improve empIoyee performance in order to remain at a high IeveI, one of which is motivation and promotion. The objectives of this study are to: (1) knowing the IeveI of motivation, (2) knowing the impIementation of job promotion, (3) knowing the IeveI of performance, (4) knowing the infIuence of motivation in improving performance, (5) knowing the effect of promotion in improving performance, (6) knowing the effect of motivation and promotion in improve the performance. The unit of anaIysis in this study were empIoyees of PT. Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk Jambi Branch totaIing 47 empIoyees.
